I’m 56 and have purchased quite a few cars over the years, and I have to say this was my first AWESOME car purchase ever! There is always something that lets you down—description of the vehicle, inadequate salesperson, inefficient support staff, hours of waiting, and nobody really knows why you’ve spent a whole day to drive away in your new car. The process always ruins my excitement, and I feel exhausted & beat when I’m finally handed the car key. Here, I dealt with the owner directly, mostly via texts (perfect for my crazy schedule), and his passion for quality, high-end cars, attention to detail, prompt replies, honest family-style service, as well as friendly, knowledgeable, detailed, and passionate-for-perfection support staff, made me so comfortable & confident in every way. I actually purchased the car over the phone & drove 3 hours to pick it up! A definite first for me! From financing to a speedy delivery and an awesome deal, Auto By Design is where you need to be! Hands down, the best dealership experience ever! If you want to be miserable and feel ripped off, go somewhere else. I had a terrible experience buying a new Odyssey. It began with shady financing tactics when I was pre-approved by my credit union. Then, the Odyssey didn’t pass the pre-sale inspection so everything was delayed while they fixed a safety issue. After all the paperwork was done I found that they tried to hide damage to multiple areas caused by the shop technician when fixing the safety issue. Ray Morton was unprofessional and confrontational and had me wait past 9:00 pm on a Sunday while he helped another customer. It was a nightmare even after that with the replacement Odyssey and their office forgetting to register it in the time frame. They changed the Honda Service Pass terms without telling me. I wouldn’t recommend risking having a similar experience. There are lots of Honda dealers in the area.

Unfortunately, while waiting, his current car started having issues, and he had to find something else quickly. He ended up needing to cancel his order and get his deposit back. After having a bad experience across the street with another dealer who had tacked on over $3,000 in fees for a 2014 Lexus, I ended up buying a 2016 Acura MDX in excellent condition for $2,000 less. I really appreciate their patience and flexibility as I looked at several cars. The overall experience was very good and I would recommend others in need of a used car to please give them a try.

Andrew is my service advisor and he does a great job. I had to work with Destiny on my Saturday service and wasn’t thrilled about working with her. I dropped my truck off with Andrew and we went over the services I needed to get, he understood I would be back the following month to get the brake fluid flushed. No pressure with Andrew. Destiny tried upselling services that I already went over with Andrew and selling services that was completed before I left Texas a couple months ago. Not sure if the mechanic really looked at things but just tried to upsell un needed services. After telling Destiny I didn’t need these services and the others I had discussed with Andrew about getting them done the following month she said my truck would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived almost a hour later just for her to tell me she is busy with 4 other ticket before me and I would have to wait in the waiting room. She never came and got me so I went to inquire if she was done. Really wasn’t happy with this service experience. Tires were rotated but the pressures were not check as they were off between 5-10psi. I hope my next experience will be better. I gave a decent review because Andrew is very helpful and not pushy.
