My experience with the team at Waldorf Honda was exceptional. I was in a position where I had to purchase a vehicle due to my previous vehicle being totaled in a car crash. Not having a car payment for 8 years, I was not looking forward to the car buying process. But after speaking with Eddie and Jasmyn via an online query about a vehicle I knew they were going to do everything possible to make the process painless. They were in constant communication with me but not at all pushy, which is what I really appreciate. Once I finally arrived to the dealership I had the pleasure of being welcomed by Johnny. He took the time to ask me about what I wanted and even listened to me vent. Johnny made sure my dad and I were comfortable, hydrated and answered all our questions. James was assisting Johnny as it was a Sunday and light staffed but they never missed a beat and was attentive to all that was there. After finalizing my decision on what vehicle I wanted, Johnny explained every step of the process and made sure I understood what was happening. Once it came down to finalizing the paperwork I was assisted by Dylan who also explained everything in detail and made me and my dad laugh throughout the process. It honestly was a great experience for me after having to deal with the loss of loved one and a recent car crash… I really enjoyed speaking with everyone at the facility, I loved the atmosphere throughout. I had such a great experience here! I originally came in for an oil change and inspection, and everything went so smoothly. While working on my car, they found an A/C seal leak and repaired it under warranty, then discovered my air conditioner’s condenser was leaking. They replaced that too—also under warranty—which saved me a ton of stress and money. A big shout-out to Ricardo, my service advisor, who went above and beyond. My schedule was tight that day and overlapped with another important appointment, but he coordinated with the shuttle driver so I wouldn’t miss it. The driver was incredibly nice too, making the ride stress-free. The waiting area was also a nice surprise—cleaner and more comfortable than the last time I visited. Ricardo made sure to clearly explain every service they performed on my car and even walked me through what I’ll need for my next visits. It’s rare to find a place where you feel this taken care of—thorough, honest, and genuinely considerate. I’m definitely coming back!

Poor Service and Lack of Accountability I brought my 2020 Honda Accord Sport to Pohanka Honda in April 2025 for a major service that included a water pump and drive belt replacement. The invoice incorrectly listed a timing belt replacement—something my car doesn’t even have—which immediately raised concerns about the accuracy of their service documentation. Within a month of the visit, my car began making a loud whining sound. By August, the issue worsened during a trip to Georgia. A certified Honda dealership in Union City diagnosed the problem as a failed drive belt tensioner, a part that should have been inspected—or at least flagged—during my April service. Their technicians confirmed the failure was not sudden and could have been caught. When I called Pohanka Honda to seek answers, I was met with dismissive and unprofessional behavior from a staff member who even hung up on my representative and gave incorrect information about my car’s components. Despite clear documentation, they refused to take responsibility or offer reimbursement—even though I was billed for parts unrelated to my car and ended up paying out of pocket for an avoidable repair. If you value transparency, honesty, and thorough service, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. Trust matters when servicing your vehicle—and unfortunately, I no longer have that trust in this dealership.

Disappointing and Untrustworthy Service at Herson’s Honda – Avoid This Dealership! I am extremely frustrated with my experience at Herson’s Honda in Rockville, MD. On December 28, 2024, I brought my car in to have a clicking sound checked out coming from the dashboard. Instead of addressing the actual issue, they recommended replacing all four tires, claiming the tread was low. However, only one tire had 3/32 of tread left. Why didn’t they just replace the two tires that were actually worn out? This seemed like a blatant attempt to upsell unnecessary services and get me to spend more money than necessary. But that’s not all. They also suggested replacing several other parts, including the timing belt, tensioner, water pump, drive belt, air intake tube, and rear HVAC motor—a total cost of $6,481.52. Looking back, I can’t help but question whether these repairs were truly needed, or if they were simply trying to inflate the bill. The real frustration came two months later. After driving only 2,064 miles, the hood wouldn’t open to allow me to add washer fluid. Given that I had just spent hours/days with them in December addressing various wear-and-tear items, it's hard to believe they didn't notice the supposedly deteriorating hood latch at that time. Instead, they had to break my grill to fix the latch and then charged me an additional $1,499.90 for their mistake. This was completely ridiculous. To make matters worse, when we questioned them, we were willing to pay for the parts but refused to pay for labor. We strongly believe that the hood latch issue should have been identified during the service in December. Furthermore, since they were the last ones to open and close the hood, it raises the question—did they accidentally break the latch during their work? Despite this, they refused to deduct the $361 labor cost. We believe they should have covered the entire cost, as it was their failure to catch the problem in the first place. At this point, I have zero trust in the mechanics, Service Advisor, or Service Manager at Herson’s Honda. It feels like they are more interested in taking your money than in providing honest, quality service. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this dealership. The lack of professionalism, honesty, and customer care was appalling. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere for your car repairs.
