Awful. They totally tried to take advantage of me. At first I thought they were going to take care of me. I scheduled an appointment on a weekend because I They totally tried to take advantage of me. At first I thought they were going to take care of me. I scheduled an appointment on a weekend because I have a very busy schedule and three young children. I made the appointment two weeks later than I wanted just to get in on a weekend. I was clear about my time constraints. They checked for a “software update” and told me there wasn’t one. I had to keep calling to get someone to provide and update and they said I’d need to bring it back during the week for them to find the source of the problem. I was upset because I purposely made an appointment on a weekend because my time is limited. I cannot be without a vehicle with three kids whom I have most of the time by myself. I picked the car up and figured I’d take it elsewhere. I sent a message explaining my frustration and a manager called me back, he explained that I would have to come during the week because the technician would need to contact Nissan directly. This would have been good information for me to have so I’d understand why I had to come back during the week. I decided to give them another chance. I was told they would “take care of me” but it would probably cost a couple hundred dollars to find the source of the issue. I called for an update and was told the technician had just brought the paperwork up and I’d get a call right back. I never got a call back or a response to my text. Two hours later I called again and was told that they think they know what the problem is and suggested I replaced a part for a total cost of $3000.00+ including labor. I asked if the labor for the day could be waived or I could get a discount on pricing and was told I’d get a call back after he consulted with the Manager. I never got a call back. In the meantime I did a ton of research online and contacted some other technicians. When I got to the dealership I was informed that they didn’t have an answer yet and could I wait? I said no because at that point I knew I wasn’t going to be returning and had doubts about the diagnosis. I was told one of the best technicians had worked on my car. It cost me $400 to just have them look for the problem. I never got a phone call back with any reduction in cost but I received a request to complete a survey today. So here it is. My friend changed a small part out and the problem has not occurred again. It was a problem that was occurring intermittently daily. Beware of this shop especially if you’re a woman. I feel like I ripped $400 up and threw it into the wind. I thought because it was a dealer it would be the best place to get electrical work done. I was sure wrong and lesson learned. Don’t believe them and go elsewhere! Steve was friendly and I trusted him - but he not great at responding and I don’t know how they figure out their labor rates but I sure do feel taken advantage of. More
