A memorable experience Where do I begin. My experience with Elmwood started with me requesting information on a Chevy Silverado. The internet salesman Matt called me Frida Where do I begin. My experience with Elmwood started with me requesting information on a Chevy Silverado. The internet salesman Matt called me Friday morning. It was a very cold wet rainy Friday. Matt and I talked for about 25 minutes or so. He asked me exactly what I was looking for in a vehicle. I told him what I could afford and that I needed to put 6 people in a vehicle. He quickly got to work and started asking me some questions about exactly what Id like to look at and work with. I made an appointment for Saturday morning April 1st at 11:30am. He text me and advised me that Jared Murphy would be my salesman. Saturday Morning arrived at the dealership for 11:30. While waiting for Jared to return, another salesman greeted myself and my girlfriend at the door. His name was Sherman Jones aka, "the Shermanator." What a character, was awesome to work with! Took my information down and advised me that Jared would be back shortly. He asked me what kind of vehicles I was interested in and so on. Sherman was such a funny salesman, really made you feel at home and very much like a family, very warm welcome positive attitude! Jared finally arrived, and greeted us with a very professional, down to earth up beat attitude right away. I knew that this was going to be a fantastic experience right from the very first moment of walking in the door. Jared ask me several questions about what type of vehicle we were looking for. He did some research and found a 2015 Dodge Journey SE that fit 7. Perfect! That's exactly what my family needed, enough room for 4 kids and 2 adults. He asked us if we wanted to take it for a test drive to see if we like it, I advised him that I would be the shortest person of the day test driving a vehicle. His personality right away responded to ours, with a professional take but also a very fun out look. He showed us all the buttons and the fact that you don't need a key to start it, which is pretty cool, reminds me of K.I.T.T. from knight rider. He showed us all the different controls from the heat to the ac to the steering wheel adjustment lever, which was great because being the size of a tic-tak really helped me out. We decided as a family that we loved it. It was exactly what my family was looking for in a vehicle. These guys are miracle workers when it came to getting financing. My credit isn't that good due to recently getting divorced and taking on debt. I don't know how they did it, but Noel is "the man" when it comes to making your dreams come true for your family. Noel from the moment I sat down in front of him was awesome to work with. Such a positive motivated person, with such a hard work attitude and really wants to help people. I think he was as excited as we were that he could get us the finance we needed. I can't say anything bad about anyone at Elmwood. This dealership if it was up to me would receive the highest customer service award from internet sales, to sales, to finance to the president of the company. Elmwood stands by there word when it comes to finance to customer service. Every single person cared about my families needs and they didn't judge us based on a credit number. My girlfriend and I are both very very hard workers, and Elmwood recognizes that. Being a volunteer firefighter for the past 20 years, I've seen a lot and its really nice when people recognize our service that we do. Elmwood not only recognized my service as a firefighter for the community but thanked me for my service. I really connected to my salesman Jared. We exchanged stories while we were talking about the vehicle. I loss my mother five years ago today April 9 due to a massive stroke. Being a first responder, I had to find my mom outside of her home. My mom was a dedicated nurse for over 25 years and always put her family first. Since my mother has passed, I have been so nervous with going to dealerships, because my mom was my rock. Jared expressed that his dad passed away 3 years ago September 8, with his birthday coming up April 8. He expressed the same feelings that I fight and battle with every single day. Just knowing someone out there who I never knew felt the same way I did was a little reassuring. He told me stories about his dad, I told stories about my mom. It was a super wonderful but also sad experience. We both loved our parents pretty much the same way. I will always recommend Elmwood to everyone I know that is looking for a vehicle. I want my friends and family and everyone I know to have the same experience that I had with Elmwood and the wonderful employees. I can not thank them enough for the kind words, the time, the experience, the laughs, and overall the truth. Elmwood of East Providence, you have gained yourself a customer for life! They made me wait one month so we could finally reached a deal, then they decided they are going to sell it online at their website with a clean car fax. This truck has $15,000 damage to the front end to it. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's office. I will go out of my way to make sure to tell anyone who will listen about this. More
