I had a 7:00 AM service appointment. Within 30 minutes of arrival, I was told my vehicle would be serviced. I was provided a loaner vehicle and informed that someone would contact me tha Within 30 minutes of arrival, I was told my vehicle would be serviced. I was provided a loaner vehicle and informed that someone would contact me that afternoon with findings on my vehicle. At 1:00 PM, having received no contact, I called the dealership for a status update. I was told by the service team that my service specialist had been paged but could not be found. At 2:00 PM, I returned to the dealership to return the loaner and inquire about my vehicle. A service team member informed me that no one had looked at the vehicle yet. When I noted that seven hours had passed since my appointment, the service team member stated that appointments were backed up and that someone would contact me at some point. When I dropped the vehicle off, I activated valet mode. After seven hours, the vehicle had been moved a total of 400 feet. Three days after the appointment, following an interaction with the dealership’s AI assistant regarding my visit, a service manager called to ask why I had rated the dealership zero out of ten. When I detailed my experience, the manager stated that I never had an appointment and what he had been told did not align with my account. Essentially eluding to me lying. At multiple points during the conversation, I had to ask the manager to stop interrupting me and dismissing my account before I could finish explaining my experience. The resolution provided from the manager was that he would “look into it.” More

My car buying experience at Family Hyundai with Mayweather Shorter as my salesman was a smooth process. It had been 12 years since I purchased my last vehicle. However, I did my homework as buyer and knew what I was looking for. In walking into the dealership, meeting Mr Shorter, discussing the matter of my purchase of a vehicle was a good experience. Of course having done my research and homework provided the required knowledge I needed to help make the transaction doable and work seamlessly as possible. I must say, Mayweather served me well with proficiency, great knowledge and confidence on his part of the transaction. Thereby, I walked away a satisfied customer and Mayweather Shorter would be at the top of my list for recommendation to others desiring to purchase a vehicle. Sharon L Mootry More
I bought a used 2018 kia sorento in Nov 2023. Nice car. But now since Oct 2025 I have ran I to oil consumption problems, engine was just replaced April 15th or 16th. What I don't understand is 2nd time I have taken my cat home and 1st time no oil in it after work on it and 2nd time took car hone after new engine and the oil was not full or topped off. I brought it back again today sat 4-18-26, Ken took it back checked it dor me and said he filled it w oil! He even said it was pretty low. How does a mechanic not check and top off oil before customer takes it? This is the whole issue and not wanting to ruin my engine? Service has been better, my service guy has been so nice as he know my frustration w this problem and me having to run back and forth to your dealership. More
