We certainly appreciate the fact that the Mazda factory battery is so expensive, but without the specific i-ELOOP Q85 battery, Mazda tells us that it could cause a variety of issue to occur, ranging from malfunction lights, to stopping or restricting the I-ELOOP system altogether. They have a publicly published bulletin on this, and you can see it if you Google TSB 01-016/13. Unfortunately at this time Mazda does not have a less expensive solution for us to offer.
