My initial interactions with the Internet Department at Herb Chambers Toyota of Auburn were helpful and quick, with the staff very efficient in assisting me in identifying an available vehicle that matched Herb Chambers Toyota of Auburn were helpful and quick, with the staff very efficient in assisting me in identifying an available vehicle that matched what I was looking for, so kudos to them. However, once I transitioned over the main sales department then onward to finance and later delivery of the vehicle, it was less than ideal. I made an appointment with a specific person for a test drive after working out details for a purchase. Upon arrival at the dealership, I was told that the person I was to meet was unavailable and I was passed off to another salesman who was new to the company and had not been given any of my information or preferences in advance, so it felt like a waste of time re-going through all those details with the new salesman. After signing the contract for the purchase, follow-up communication was poor, in that e-mails were not responded to timely. After I made several requests to both the salesman and the finance department to update their phone number in their system, they still would call an incorrect number to attempt to reach me (even though I stated that e-mail communication was preferred). Upon completion of the purchase, I arrived to take delivery of the vehicle to find it was unwashed after having sat outside for several days, it had not been charged to allow for EV use, and after driving away discovered that several systems requiring initialization/calibration (memory seats, backup camera) had not been completed and the tires were not properly inflated. For a $50,000 vehicle with an added dealer markup due to demand, this was very poor. Additionally, a purchased protective clear "bra" coat that was to have been applied pre-delivery was not completed. I ended up cancelling it; processing of the refund for that purchase took several e-mails and well over a week to get processed. Overall, even though this dealership is some distance from my home, if I would have had a good experience it is likely I would have gone the extra distance to them for service, possible future purchases, etc. However, I am unlikely to do so given my lackluster experience. Thankfully, I absolutely love the car, and the local Toyota dealership closer to my home has straightened out the neglected pre-delivery issues for me at no charge. More
I Dropped my car off at dealership customer service with a check engine, traction, and abs light is on. Service advisor- Brian Dat Lee called me and he finished the diagnostic and recommend replacing the Tr a check engine, traction, and abs light is on. Error code was P2716 Pressure control solenoid "D" electrical so I ask why you will not try troubleshooting Solenoid wiring issue? He said , We are not doing this kind of repair. we just change Transmission. Of course, a replacement will cost me 7000 $. I tell him, sorry I can accept this. I know first I make the mistake to go to Dealer, but I was thinking only Toyota certify dealer can do a professional job, it was my second mistake. so I pay 159$ for diagnostic and go straight to the transmission shop where professional people work.I left the car on Monday and Wednesday my car was fixed for 1200$. I will never recommend Toyota Auburn for service but I'm thinking if they are doing service like that, I can imagine how they are doing business. More

I live in Gloucester and i was interested in Venza XLE. I called dealership just to see if they have any in stock. I was told by Lauren Roche that they do have one in stock. I asked how much you over charge called dealership just to see if they have any in stock. I was told by Lauren Roche that they do have one in stock. I asked how much you over charge on MSRP, she replied $3000 but it is negotiable. Called again few minutes later just to see if i can negotiate over the phone to save myself a long trip, same answer, no problem since i really wanted to get that color and trim and they have it. I'll go down there and talked to them. I spent 3 hours of my life going down there and coming back just to find out they don't have it in stock. They can get me one in 6 to 8 weeks if i put the deposit down and they charge $ 5000 over the MSRP not the $ 3000. When i complained about being told $3K they just laughed about it. I'm not complaining about 3K or 5K over MSRP im complaining about them lying to their customers. Just to make sure i heard it right I called again today and they lied again about it. I was told yes they have one in stock and charge $3K more than MSRP. Very Very disappointing in them. I know its a tough situation right now but how they are treating their customer is totally unprofessional. Look at the name you guys are representing and you dealing like a 3rd class dealer. I always had a good experience with them but these tough times just showed their true colors. More
