OUR HISTORY
Walt DeBoer founded Lithia Motors in 1946 as a Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge dealership in Ashland, Oregon. Following Walt’s death in 1968, Walt’s son Sid along with Dick Heimann, grew the business to include 5 stores and 19 franchises in Southern Oregon. In December 1996, this collection of dealerships was transformed into Lithia Motors, Inc., a publicly traded company (NYSE stock symbol-LAD). We envisioned a company that would continuously grow, provide great customer service, and opportunities for employees.
TODAY
Lithia is one of America’s largest automotive retailers featuring most domestic and import franchises. Our stores serve urban and rural populations throughout the Western and Midwest United States.
We are focused on providing customers with an honest and simpler buying and service experience. We are giving customers straightforward information so that they can make confident decisions.
We believe that our local communities are our lifeblood. In addition to the employment opportunities we provide in each of our neighborhoods, we also provide contributions to charitable organizations that serve our families, friends, and customers.

Got notified for a 67,500 mile maintenance and a recall. Well, essentially all the maintenance included was just an oil change. They were supposed to do a multi-point inspection, which they apparently forgo Well, essentially all the maintenance included was just an oil change. They were supposed to do a multi-point inspection, which they apparently forgot to do. Immediately I noticed my car running rougher on driving it home, and a loss of almost 5 mpg on my mileage. Once I got home, I checked my air filter, and it was quite dirty with debris in the filter and the container unit. I figured they would have at least checked that and let me know, but with mileage loss and rougher engine sounds and ride, it just makes me wonder what it was exactly that they did do...? Disappointing experience. More
