What can I say? They gave me the wrong car on a lease. Luckily they had another one just like it. The mistake would have not been so upsetting had we simply been able to switch cars. However, Marcus, the finance person, insisted he could fix the situation by including a statement to the contract and supporting documents stating the correct VIN number. I explained to him that I could see problems ahead at the DMV and at Lexus Finance. He continued to argue with me over several phones calls spanning 2 hours. I finally told him either I get the Lexus with the VIN matching my paperwork or we get all the funds back whereupon we would just walk away. Marcus agreed to the car switch at that point. We took the car with the wrong VIN back the next day and the switch went smoothly. I was not happy with Marcus continually putting me on the defensive over the whole situation as none of it was remotely my fault. Nathan, the salesman, offered me free Lexus cups for my “inconvenience” but I declined as the cups could in no way make up for the hours of stress dealing with this issue. I will get my service at Northside Lexus when convenient, but will not lease/buy another car from them as they do not provide an experience I have come to expect from Lexus. More
