David wrote down and addressed the issues I had with the vehicle and kept me informed by sending a real-time video feed of the service being performed. David then had my vehicle washed and brought all paperwork and my keys to me as I sat in the waiting area. David provided the best customer service I have ever experienced from a dealership. Took my Sprinter van in for recall work. When I made the appointment, I was told 2 days. This turned into 4 days,(waiting for parts) which turned into 8 days.(waiting for parts) No communication from the service advisor. I called repeatedly and left multiple messages. The day before taking the van for the recall, I noticed a small fuel leak on top of the fuel filter, so I advised them about this, and told them I thought it just looked like a bad connection of one of the fuel lines. After the van had been there for 8 days, "waiting for parts", only then was I informed that the fuel leak would cost $699.00 plus tax to fix. I declined because this sounded outrageous!! Well, it was outrageous!! The next day I took the van to an independent shop near my house. They charged me $21.98 to replace a 12 inch fuel line!!!!
Obviously, I will not be returning to Long Beach Mercedes!!

Sucks that Calstar is in Glendale. Sucks even more that I had to try Calstar's service department multiple times before I realized that they're just horrible at what they do. I kept my mouth shut the first few times. Left a good review the first time because the advisers pretty much beg you and play the sympathy card that their paycheck relies on it...so out of pure guilt of not wanting to hurt anyone's paycheck, I would leave a good review. I quickly realized that i'm not doing anyone a favor by doing that and after getting ripped off of my time and money...i'll speak out now. SAVE yourself A LOT of time and money and go to another dealer. Even when you go in telling them how horrendous your last couple experiences were with Calstar, they still manage to shaft you with a big smile on their faces. I wont get into details about everything...just drive 10 min out and save yourself a lot of time.

The worst dealership service department I have ever experienced. A 2-4 hour recall service took 3 days. Their explanation was they are really busy. How about not scheduling more cars than you can handle? When it was finally done they tried to sell me additional service the car did not need. If it was possible I would give them 0 stars. I previously got a “discounted” $1800 quote for a $60,000 service. I paid $1,100 at a local shop and it was a great experience. This place sucks. will never come back to Mercedes of Escondido.
