BUYER BEWARE!!! - crankent
I truly hope you heed that very serious caution and stay clear of this particular Nissan dealership. DO NOT be like me see the high ratings read 1 or 2 high marked reviews and call it a day and then get lied to which is unfortunately my story so please read on. So first understand I purchase my car on the 29 of June so not too long ago but still I could've been posted a review but I didn't want to write something because I was feeling upset which sometimes is what happens with negative reviews. My day started with USAA car buying service in which case this dealer was recommended like I mentioned earlier I also seen the ratings and I even have to admit before arrival over the phone the sales manager seemed legit and as I found out the hard way was not joking about getting my business. Once at the dealership everything was going really good people seemed friendly and professional, they let me explain my situation of getting out of debt before I retire and also getting my oldest a car for college. Note I feel I need to mention this as it plays a big part over the phone and in person the one thing I asked was for them to be upfront and honest (I know I know...that was stupid wishing) but that was my first mistake. This landed me at a Nissan Versa which is a decent basic starter car with nothing special. I test drove the automatic version but bought the standard instead (second mistake). Now I don't know if you notice the picture attached but that little fella was mistake number three, while I waited to go test drive the automatic I inquired about the 72hr return and foolishly I let them explain it to me without reading it and I completely ate it up when one of the guys said he used to be in the military so everything he said after that was the gospel (fourth mistake if you still tracking). Not giving it a second thought I bought the car and thank God for Mr. Elford for fixing a lot and I mean a lot of numbers and errors he also was in the military and unlike what you will soon find out still has interiority and respect for his follow service members. If you guess the standard drove horrible and when I went to return the car that the 72hr return is BS! ding ding ding you are the winner! A complete gimmick that forces you to buy a car from them, still to this day I don't understand why they didn't just be upfront with me but the deed is done for now (still seeking legal advice about my options). So what happened? Well I got the automatic version of the car, obviously no love on the second way around didn't even install my front license plate knowing its illegal where I live to not having it on, no walk around the car to make sure everything is good to go (either sale) but once again the hero of this story Mr. Elford wore a lot of hats that day, he did what the salesman should've done, fixed my numbers which what the sale manager (who kept lying till the end shameful behavior from someone who supposedly served) supposed to have made sure was good to go and as a fellow brothers in arms looked out for me and tried to save face for the dealership but from what I saw on a Saturday at 12pm 3-4 people looking cars not a lot going on I guess they really needed that sale regardless of the true cost of losing someone who could've defiantly recommended countless people but now one who will do the exact opposite. With that said find another Nissan dealership you CAN do better, if for whatever reason you absolutely "gun to your head" have to use this dealership do yourself a solid and ask for Mr. Elford and maybe he can recommend a good salesman to you. I won't be going back and I won't be sending anyone I know military or not to this dealership. Now to take that "Nissan Legends" back plate off, I be xxxx if I'll be you free advertisement!
Ps. After purchase customer service...ouch! I had to get plates for my car because I purchased out of state (KS/MO), the title lady hung up on the poor DMV girl 2x, had an attitude when I called and told me she was immediately faxing the info but didn't at all after I waited 1hr so you guessed it called the Mr. Elford and finally got that all sorted out too, I tell you what I wish I could give zero stars just so the one star that I would give would go to the real star of that dealership Mr. Elford, I hope he becomes the owner someday maybe then I'll return and recommend them.
Excellent Service - Weasel2010
Took our family vehicle here a couple weeks ago and received excellent service. Absolutely no complaints! The new manager Steve Nitschke was especially helpful. We will definitely be back!
Awesome!!!!! - Vette2
I just purchased a vehicle from this dealership and my salesman was the GREATEST that I have ever dealt with and I have purchased many vehicles but J Lynn Sullivan is the best She called when she said she would, she treated me as if I was right there with them, she was honest about everything concerning the vehicle, she was honest about everything she could do and couldn’t do and delivered on EVERYTHING she promised. I will without a doubt purchased again from here because of her!! She made the entire process simple and when something wasn’t correct she made sure it got fixed and that’s important when purchasing a vehicle online. J Lynn again than you and whomever you work for they need to know the asset you are to this dealership!!! Awesome!!!! Please thank Milton for me as well, you all are great!!!!

We had a service appointment here and left to go look at other used cars while they worked on repairing our car. Came back and were told a bunch of parts had to be replaced and that they could fix it for an astronomical amount of money. After calling around, we decided to get a newer car. The sales manager and finance guy were a joke and rushed us through the whole process. They promised 60-day tags, free service, and warranty work. None of that materialized after the sale. I do not trust the sales and service at this dealership to work on our car.
Service here, buy elsewhere - 17NissanSR
I didn't know how bad it was until I went somewhere else... Lee was my saleman 2 years ago when I bought a car(2015 altima) at cap city and didn't have a clue who I was when I came in last week to look at a few cars. The cars are priced good because they are all scuffed up. Ive had a handful of issues not covered by the warranty with the Altima I got here(blower moter for ac was going out when i bought it, couldn't hear until it was full blast). The sales guy Lee had us wait for an hour while he "Talked to his boss" over $200! And argued that 2 key fobs brought value over 1 key fob.. I received 4 key fobs with the car I bought this weekend somewhere else. They even through in a factory remote start and showed me how a customer should be treated. Cap city is only getting 2 stars because their service manager Dave is amazing. See him for service but buy elsewhere.
Unnecessary, expensive repairs that don't fix anything - eromlignod
I brought my 370Z in because the convertible top wouldn't open all the way. They told me it was a bad sensor and that it would cost $942.39 to fix and kept my car all week. When I got the car back, the roof failed on the first try...just like before. I took it back in and left it for another day. They found that it was a piece of fabric that had come unstitched and was catching. To "fix" this they stapled the fabric in a few places with a desk stapler, that's it. I was never refunded any of the $942.39 that I paid for a sensor that was replaced for no reason.
And it gets even worse... - Lee N.
I posted earlier about the atrocious service and service department. My vehicle was with them for 9 hours and they did nothing. See earlier posting of mine. Today, I took it to a competing Nissan service center and it was all taken care of in 50 minutes. But get this! What Hendrick DID DO was left my oil cap off and there was gradual spewing of oil atop my engine, under the hood, covering the belts, air hoses, etc, many of which needed to be replaced. And I assure you - nobody else was under the hood of my vehicle except Nissan when they NON-did the work I had made an appointment for. I should bring litigation against them to recover the damages they caused.
