Great Experience - Don R
I was visiting Salina for a weekend and stopped in to take a look and found a 2016 Jeep Patriot I was interested on a Saturday afternoon. Talked to Chris Endreshak about the Jeep, very pleasant, knowledgeable salesperson , went back home and called him on the following Monday acquiring about the Jeep Patriot. I have never purchased a vehicle by phone before, what an amazing experience I had dealing with Chris. We conversed back an forth several times before we came to an agreement on the purchase price. He had the paperwork and Jeep already for me when I got there to pick it up almost a week later. I only spoke with the Jeremy for a short period of time just to sign the paperwork, but was treated in a very friendly way. I can't say how much I appreciated not dealing with a pushy salesman. Way to go Chris and Thumbs Up to you, and finally, Thank you for your professionalism and honesty.
They wii get you what you want! - Debby
I have always had great service at Capital City Nissan. They go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied and get the car you want. Randy Morehead is the consummate professional, working late to make sure I got the car that day. Go see Randy for a great deal and great service!
Service Visit - Mlellis65
I went to schedule online and that was all bad. However once I talked to an actual person and was able to get an appointment at a time conducive to my schedule the rest of my experience was excellent.
This was not a sales visit so not sure why there are not other options - I’m making selections at this point just to get it done.
I hate this survey I really don’t want another user name I’m doing good to complete it and now I doubt I will do another if I have to go through all of this.
Please think these things through so they are not a pain in the butt.
Excellent Salesman - Dan H. Salina
I worked with Nathaniel on purchasing a new Nissan Titan. He was great to work with and energetic about the process. Ultimately, I did not purchase the Titan, but I will check with Nathaniel next time I am considering buying a new Nissan. He is probably one of the best salesmen I've ever worked with reguarding communications. He was very good at following up with texts or calls.
Alfredo was Great - Clln123
Alfredo made purchasing our new Murano easy and fun. He. Took the time to go over all the features of the car and made sure we were comfortable with it.
New 2017 Nissan 370Z Touring Model - Al from Hutchinson KS
I had the frustrations and an exhaustive internet search for a used Nissan 370Z. My budget was $30K. There are several Z's for sale with-in a 200 mile radius that were in my budget. Problem is you can't physically see or drive a vehicle prior to its purchase/shipment. The dealers I contacted on the internet, half would not provide me with the total "out-the-door price." When I could get a purchase order, there were excess fees such as "dealer prep", one was $1500! Then there's the shipping charge. It varied $400 to $800 to ship it 200 miles!
About four years ago I purchased a new 2013 Altima Coupe from Conklin's. It has been a wonderful car, my first Nissan. I got a "fair" (not a great) deal when I purchased the Altima. At that time, the sales staff that I dealt with was, well, lacklustre... In all fairness tho, I will admit that even back then Conklin's Service Department was and has remained stellar.
I contacted the Internet Sales Department at Conklin's. They had a used 2015 NISMO and a new 2017 Touring 370Z, both coupes. I scheduled an appointment with Alvin to test drive the NISMO. I have to admit, the NISMO is everything advertised by NISSAN. Unfortunately, since I'm an old guy with an aging back and bad knees, the ride and stiff clutch just would not work for me. Alvin understood and gave NO pressure to purchase a vehicle that wasn't right for me. He did mention that he had the 2017 370Z on the Showroom floor, I was welcome to drive it. It was Black, a color I told myself years ago I would never own again. I shared my dislike of this color with Alvin and Derek. Once again, no pressure to buy. I left Conklin's thinking of the dread resuming my internet search for a 370Z.
A few days later Alvin contacted me letting me know that he would be happy to try and find me a used 370Z of my liking from another dearship. I explained that I was taking a break in my search for a new car. My Altima had low miles and was running like new, I was content with what I had. Alvin advised me that the price of the BLACK Z had been reduced several thousand dollars and asked me if I would like to test drive it. Black wasn't my choice but, "saving green backs" is certainly something I enjoy...
As I mentioned earlier my budget was $30K. With an MSRP of over $40K for 2017 Z, I felt they wouldn't be able to get the price even close... I was wrong. Derek, Myron (the GM) and Alvin made me an offer I couldn't refuse... "I can live with a black car." Did I get the car for $30K? No. I did get a GREAT deal and I am now a "Completely Satisfied" customer :-)!
I know this is an extremely long review, I don't apologize. Every person I met at Conklin's greeted me with a smile and treated me as a friend. I never felt pressured to buy my vehicle and everything was explained thoroughly. I hope the owners of Conklin's are aware of just how fortunate they are having such a stellar group of people working for them? I appreciate them all (Todd the F&I guy too) and will pass the word of my positive experience.
Faith restored in the car industry!! - amanda5480
I had the pleasure of the McCarthy Nissan experience yesterday and it is one that I hope anyone purchasing a new car gets to experience!! I will never go anywhere else. My dad has purchased 5 cars over the years and I saw firsthand why he continues to go back. The entire thing was effortless! It was by far the smoothest, easiest, most enjoyable experience I've ever had. This place is top notch!! They set the standard in the industry and I'm blown away at the differences of this dealership and their staff to all my past ones. I'm not guessing, I'm 100% confident they did everything to ensure they were putting me in the best possible situation and they treated me like royalty in the process. Would you not wish for that when purchasing a vehicle? Orlando greeted me outside as I pulled up. He has this calming poised nature about him that is instantly felt. He walked me through every detail of the car, but of the process as well. I've never met another person in sales like him. He is kind and patient, and there's absolutely nothing pushy about him like the typical car salesman. He was so easy to talk to on the phone prior to me coming in. He wouldn't even let me walk to the next building down where the finance dept is. And after I left finance, he was outside waiting on me to give me a ride back. This place is current and classy and you can tell they expect their customers be treated the best. I came out of a terrible situation with another dealership who didn't treat me well. As soon as I walked into McCarthy, it felt like home and I knew it was where I was supposed to be. Orlando made it a point to take me to the service dept and introduce me to everyone. I've never had anywhere do that! Dave the GM, is pure gold. He ensured he worked on my behalf until he could get me into a positive situation and ensured I would be taken care of. Michael in finance, this is who you want to be sitting across from when you sign documents. The entire process is one I would do 100 times over again because it was so unlike all the others I've done in the past. I love my 2018 Altima and in no way am ready to part with her, but I can promise you that I when it's time to trade it in, I will put my trust in nobody else besides McCarthy Nissan!! Do yourself the favor and allow these guys to take care of you and make your life not only easier, but better!! I can't thank them enough for valuing this hospice nurse, single mama of 3!!!!
Great sales manager - tobybecca1412
The sales manager Max was very polite and caring about my Past experience with Nissan . He took the time to listen and treated me with respect . After short Conversation I went to Briggs Nissan in Lawrence Ks ( drove 25 miles ) Max and his team worked to get me in a New 2017 Nissan rogue sport that no other dealership would help me get into a newer car . Briggs Nissan is lucky to have him as part of their Team .
I cannot in good conscience recommend Hendricks Nissan - CCNA34
I have purchased many vehicles in my life but never have I been treated in such a deceptive manner. The initial agent who assisted me (Jimmy) did a good job -- he worked to sell me the car. We amicably reached numbers both of us were comfortable with.
The unfortunate part of my experiences revolved around the Finance Manager, Nick. He told me that the deal I’d made with Jimmy (and signed) was a mistake, and that they couldn't take that type of loss on the car. He tried to have me sign a finance paper that would have charged me 12% interest! I told him that I was not OK with this and he replied, "Hold on, we are still looking, the other guy did something stupid.” (Okay, I’m feeling pretty uncomfortable now.) He called in Grant, another Finance Manager, and “poof,” I suddenly had an acceptable interest rate. At this point I was leery, but I was fine with the numbers so I proceeded with the deal.
The next thing that happened can only be termed as a “bait and switch.” Nick offered me a Service Contract. The service contract was to cost $2,700 and cover the car for 6 years or 60,000 miles. That sounded like a decent deal. Always read the fine print folks – when I got home and read through everything I discovered it was only for 6 months and 6000 miles!
The good part is that the contract allows for cancellation of the Service Contract so I called Nick (the same day) and requested cancellation, as per the terms of the contract. Nick actually tells me that the only way I can cancel the Service Contract is if I give up the car I just bought. Excuse me? I was looking at the cancellation clause in front of me as he was telling me this tall tale. I didn’t accept that and insisted that the Service Contract be cancelled.
While I understand haggling and negotiation during a sale, outright lies are not acceptable to me. Doing away with my original signed contract and replacing it with one that contains a service agreement that’s been misquoted is not acceptable to me. But, perhaps the thing that bothers me the most is the fabrication Nick told me on the phone – claiming I could not cancel the Service Contract. Long story short – I’m having the Service Contract cancelled but there’s no reason for people to lie and scam like that. For that reason, I cannot in good conscience recommend Hendricks Nissan in Merriam KS.
Poor service - Wsxqaz
Bought a used jeep here. It had worn out tires so I as a part of the purchase the agreed to replace tires. Once the tires were in the service center failed to call back for over a week and never answers the phone. Additionally there were other issues with the jeep. Wipers old and worn and the fuel access door did not open and required repair. Poor preparation and service.
And it gets even worse... - Lee N.
I posted earlier about the atrocious service and service department. My vehicle was with them for 9 hours and they did nothing. See earlier posting of mine. Today, I took it to a competing Nissan service center and it was all taken care of in 50 minutes. But get this! What Hendrick DID DO was left my oil cap off and there was gradual spewing of oil atop my engine, under the hood, covering the belts, air hoses, etc, many of which needed to be replaced. And I assure you - nobody else was under the hood of my vehicle except Nissan when they NON-did the work I had made an appointment for. I should bring litigation against them to recover the damages they caused.
