Mike kelleher was terrific. Walked me through everything that needed to be done and why.
We have neglected the service on this van for way too long and it’s entirely our fault.
Will be back on a regular schedule service from now on.

Best car buying expeirience of my life! - Don Pierce
Although I did not purchase a vehicle at this dealership due to my own error, I feel compelled to express my gratitude regarding Robert Cappelletti. While I was undecided as to what my wife and I were interested in purchasing, I had been on a hunt for a few months and happened to pass by Lance Buick GMC one particular Sunday and it happened to be after hours. We pulled over to just look at a vehicle. After about 10 minutes, Robert came up to us and introduced himself and offered us his card and stated that if there was any thing he could do for us, just contact him. He was on his way home and was simply trying to help us. He was very pleasant to talk to and not pushy at all and let us be. Long story short, I came back to Robert that following Monday, and he spent quite a bit of time with us trying to find something that fit my needs. Ultimately, I passed on the vehicles due to physical needs. Robert was again, very professional and no push at all. He was again, very pleasant to deal with, and I expressed my gratitude to him for the way he conducted business. Pretty much all the other dealerships I have been to in the last 30 years are like sharks and trying to hold you hostage, NOT HERE! I eventually came back again for a vehicle I was sure I could purchase. Robert did not have what I wanted in stock, but he was able to find one and advised me he could get it. He spent a lot of time arranging that for me and all this time, he never hounded me or kept calling my house etc. He contacted me only when he had info I was expecting from him. My wife and I went to the dealership to finalize everything and was absolutely the most pleasant experience in my life when it comes to purchasing a new vehicle. There has always been stress, tension and even some arguing during the process. Not this time! I was so comfortable, I had to convince myself that all was ok,, I was waiting for the pounce! It did not come. I stopped the process when we realized I made a financial calculation that was incorrect, and it effected my ability to make the purchase. I was stunned and disappointed, and embarrassed. When we realized I could not proceed, Robert and his manager spent some time with me to go over potential options, but I was over my head. At no time did either of them pressure me or make me feel bad for my error. When I am ready to commit, I know where I’m going, and who to see. Best car buying experience in my life! Hands down.
Thank you Lance GMC!

2019 Enclave - Capecod
This was my first experience with Colonial Buick. I was searching for a particular color combo and trim which colonial had in stock. There were several dealers that had what i was looking for, however none of them would give me numbers without coming in. Brian was nothing but helpful, cooperative and no pressure. Brian was outstanding. No gimmicks, no pressure, no upsell. Just great, accomodating service. I ended up purchasing the vehicle I was interested in, for a price that I was comfortable with.

Summer breeze - Truck4evr
I walked in on a hot summer afternoon, not knowing what to expect and with a bit of the normal stress associated with this type of potential large purchase. Well, it didn’t take long for the team there to put me at ease. From Zach in Sales to Dave (Manager) and the rest of the guys they were helpful, without being pushy and patiently allowed me time to make this big decision. Once I did everything went as efficiently as I could expect.
Just a smooth easy experience - Lmalmas
We worked with Sean Daggett and he was great, not pushy at all and made sure that we got what WE wanted. We purchased a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Sean was able to get leather and heated seats added so that the car would be exactly what we wanted
Inspection Sticker - amc623
I had new plates installed on my vehicle in order to get my inspection sticker. I was very disappointed when I got home to find out they only used two screws on the top of the plate frame to secure it. The frame is flapping with out the other two screws. That means another trip to the dealer to correct this. Not making me happy!!!
No glass top with car - Firemist
I bought a 2012 corvette centennial edition in 2015 car came with one top,I purchased the build sheet car should have had a solid and glass top.I called the dealership and they said the car did indeed come with two roofs but they did not know where it was.I paid $50,000.00 for the car so what did I get for an answer (THE CAR IS SOLD AS IS).I guess with this dealership you have to pay $100,000.00 to get a complete car TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT
Excellent Customer Service - HB608
I have received courteous and quality service for 12 years. Robertson's Service Dept mails coupons that I redeem for my oil changes and vehicle maintenance. Jim also offers me complimentary car washes whenever the service is available. I appreciate the great service.
Underhanded Sales Practices. - 39aatthompson
The staff and sales practices are despicable and underhanded. The experience at McGovern Buick GMC dealership was terrible. (A) the trade-in process, they reviewed my vehicle and came back with $7,800 for my car. I didn't push and accepted the offer of $7,800. Saleswoman presents the preliminary offer, handing me a pen and 'sign please'. I scan the page and NOW my trade-in is listed at $7,500. At that point, I should have gotten in my car and drove away. (McGovern Buick is 70 miles round trip from my home) Her excuse was 'they' made a mistake'. Yeah, 'they' never make a mistake in the consumers favor. (B) the saleswoman presents a paper to sign, when I ask what the paper is, her reply is ' those are finance options'. I sign the paper.
(C) I meet with the finance officer at 7 pm. The loan approvals return and the best rate is 5.29% and I have a 800 credit score, which she did not give me a copy of. Then I am presented with the loan terms BUT the loan officer and i haven't discussed loan terms. You see, go back to item (B) this is where I was underhandedly given the loan term of 6 years/72 months by the saleswoman. This was just incredible that the saleswoman is doing this plus how can I agree to loan terms if I haven't been approved yet and haven't had a verbal discussion. (D) I tell the loan offer to recalculate the loan for 60 months, which was done. (E) the next hour was the loan officer trying sell me a $2,000 extended warranty, She would not take No for an answer until I DEMANDED she moved on. Then all the other offers and upgrades. I did decide on a wheel and tire/dent and ding policy. Finally at 9:10 pm I told her she needed to finish and leave. I arrived at 3:30 pm and was leaving at 9:30 pm. I was the only customer in the dealership. The Encore needed an assessment because of a brake issue. They promised, even wrote on the work order "Nothing but great service!!! <- 3 exclamation points>, Full tank'.
(F) I arrive to pick up the car 2 days later. Saleswoman asks me to sign over my car title. NO, I am taking the Encore for a test drive to confirm the shuddering brake issue is resolved before I sign over my title to my car. After test drive, car is fine, I ask for the work order for the brake repair. I am told NO. So far the promise of 'Nothing but great service!!! ' is non existent. By the way, the gas tank is only half full, and it's clearly written on the work order under the 'Great Service'...Full Tank. You need to fill it.
I'm just so insulted at this point but I'm only spending $25,000 right?! I just can't wait to leave this dealership and not return. (G) Day 2 with my car I go to a gas station because the Buick display is stating tire pressure on the 4 tires is LOW, Tires are required to be 35 psi and all 4 tires are under 28 psi and as low as 26 psi....EXCELLENT SERVICE? FULL SAFETY INSPECTION? (H) I return 2 weeks later to McGovern, drove 70 miles round trip, with a hand-delivered cancellation notice for a full refund on the 'Wheel and Tire' contract. (it can be cancelled at any time). I wanted my $695 returned instead on having the policy. (I) It is now over 70 days later and I am still trying to get my $695 credited to my car loan. (J) Warranty Solutions, the Wheel and Tire policy company confirms it takes 2 days to confirm a cancellation from the dealership and it's up to the dealership to expedite the credit. OVER 70 DAYS LATER, during which there were unanswered phone calls and emails until I threatened a complaint to the State Attorneys General Office, still waiting. There's more but I think this states how I was treated. (K) I'm told in a phone call that my loan credit is being processed and will show up in my loan statement in 30 days...I'm not counting on it. Saleswoman, Tegan Van Wasseman. Loan Officer Kate Van Allen.
Hard situation worked out - Twentworth34
Had a bad experience with a used vehicle I bought. Long story short major failure months after purchase, terrible practice from a service advisor no longer there. Expensive repair they didnt want to cover. We ended up workibg out a deal to trade vehicle back in. I definitely lost money and they lost some money it was a xxxx situation for everyone. Couldve gone better couldve gone worse. We realized a higher mileage used vehicle wasnt in the cards so we went new. Jason in sales was great, Alex in service was great. Steve at the desk worked with us for sure Ray seemed useless and he was the GM. Eric dealt with us originally and helped out at end. It worked out as good as possible and was still a costly swap for everyone
poor service - maria47
if you buy there. don't expect much from there Service department. they could careless about serving your car or giving help information so you can at less go somewhere else. Service manager John is useless too.
so surprisingly bad...Read & PLEASE HEED unfortunate really - Hercules
Bev in service dept is actively working with me to diagnose and correct post purchase issues with my jeep. Got me in and took the time to really try to figure this out once & for all hopefully. Super nice throughout. Review will be updated & final after warranty on repairs is terminated.
If I could leave 0 Stars, I would for Service - Dan
I brought my car in for service 1 1/2 months ago. I wanted it evaluated to see if an issue I was having was covered under what GM calls "special coverage", not a recall per se, but similar. After scheduling an appt, my car was looked at and I was notified that cost was covered under GMs bulletin. However, the work could not be done with $900 worth of additional work that was not covered. It would take a few days to get parts. I started asking around and doing some research and was questioning this "additional work" When I went to pick up my vehicle that day, I asked my service "adviser", Rui, if the additional work was really needed and could he explain it to me. I was rudely told "I can't do one without the other if you want me to put the car on the lift right now I will!" I told Rui there will be no need, as they won't be doing the work. I have since taken my car to a more reputable dealer, where the work was performed under the special coverage from GM at NO COST and no additional work was needed to complete it. They actually held my car because they said it wasn't safe to drive, yet Alden let me take it because I wouldn't agree to to the $900 of additional work. My point, do your homework, ask questions before you agree to let Alden do any work on your vehicle. I saved $900 by getting mine fixed elsewhere.
Great Service, unexpected surprise - foodie42
I was really surprised at the excellent attention that was demonstrated by Rob Wayburn & Andrew. I wanted a preowned car within a certain price range. My first experience was with Robert several months prior, unfortunately I was unable to find anything at the dealership. Robert took my information and promised to notify me if anything comes in. At this point I was use to this being the last time I'll ever hear from a sales person. Pre-owned cars are a hit or miss issue as it is. To my great surprise, Robert called several months later with a potential car that will meet what I was looking for. SEVERAL MONTHS ! Rob, was attentive and kind, I actually ended up purchasing not the car Rob called about ( it did meet my needs ), but, a slightly more expensive car. I couldn't be more please with my experience as well as the car. I was treated very fairly & respectively. I has some minor issues that I wanted repaired or replaced. I went to Rob, he walked me to the service department & introduced me to Rich in the service department to make sure I knew who to go to. Rich was also friendly & very patient as I tried to explain my issues. Not a problem well take care of it. Even though this is not a GM product, I will continue to have my car serviced at this dealership. I just can't tell you how great my experience has been with Cape GM, Rob should be commended for his outstanding customer service skills, thus , making this dealership stand out more than others I have experience.
Use Chris Adams!! - MikeParkLembu
I've worked with salespeople at a variety of dealerships. I've bought Lexus, BMW, Honda, more. Chris Adams is by far the most professional salesperson I've run into so far. He helped me close out on a 2017 Terrain Denali. I actually never even knew much about GMC except that they make trucks. Happened to be driving by on the way to a Jeep dealership to shop for the Grand Cherokee Limited, and thought I might as well do my due diligence and check out GMC since they had some good looking SUV's outside. Chris Adams happened to be the salesperson at the door, and I told him I was just exploring. He was the opposite of the hard sell, and more like a high-end concierge at a 5-star hotel. I work in Cambridge, and have done most of my car buying in Boston and Watertown, so it was completely random stopping up here in Lowell. So glad I did! Chris Adams basically asked me what I was interested in, asked interesting questions to try to figure out my goals, and only showed me cars that I might be interested in. When test driving, he also let me drive wherever I wanted with absolutely zero pressure to hurry back to the dealership. It really let me relax and try the car out. Then when we got back, he asked a few more questions to figure out how I felt--no pressure at all, he really was genuine in trying to understand my goals. I left the dealership thinking I'd end up in a Grand Cherokee, but after trying the Cherokee out and feeling the quality and comfort was a level below that of the Terrain, I waited a couple days before contacting Chris again. Not a single phone call from the dealer, which is what I'd requested, since I find phone calls and voicemails tiresome. We started the process over email, and Chris was super responsive and detailed.
A 10 out of 10 experience, I would get another GMC when it's time to get another car if Chris is still around just to deal with him.
My experience leasing a GMC Acadia through my business... - rdigiacomo
My experience leasing a GMC Acadia through my business was fantastic. Initial contact was made by me online. Jim sent me an email asking a few questions and he followed up with a voicemail. I emailed Jim back with what I was looking for and within a day he sent me a couple of options; I knew from online research that the deals Jim sent me were well below MSRP and they were very competitive. I have to admit that after looking up a few different vehicle makes online the Acadia was probably #3 on my preferred the list but the hassle free, ease of doing business with Lance put them over the top for me. Jim drove the Acadia to my office so I could take a test drive. I liked the car and told Jim to find me one (the one I test drove was almost exactly the model I wanted but not quite). He found me the car, I went to the dealership that night, signed some paperwork with Geoff who was very helpful setting up the lease through my company... and the car was delivered to me a couple of days later. The entire process went off without a hitch, Jim was attentive and made sure I got in the car I wanted, there was no pressure or shady tactics one sometimes sees from other car dealerships. All in all, I'm very happy with everyone at Lance.
