Today was my first experience with the Karp Kia service department and I was greatly impressed with the efficient and friendly service. The service advisor was personable and promptly checked me in. I really appreciate that my appointment time was honored. All work for my car was clearly identified. The waiting room was tidy and comfortable. With that being said, I was most pleased that I didn’t have a long wait for my car. This was a great first time experience!

This dealership with out a doubt is the most unprofessional facility I have ever dealt with. I purchased 4 new tires. Spent upwards on $1,600.00 on additional work, only to experience a leak in 1 of the 4 new tires. Funny, I didn't have a leak in the tire before Kia of West Nyack replaced them. They told me I had a bent rim. Long story short, from the service manager Rubin, in addition his clueless staff, to upper management, including Ms.Finn, not one person would entertain the complaint with any respect. They could have cared less. Including the General Manager Mr. Justin Dennis who never returned any of my calls. They were willing to lose a customer over a $92 repair.
When I upgrade which I will, I will take my business to Liberty Kia of Ramsey.

I bought a used vehicle from them this fall for $27,000. There was also a stain on the ceiling in the rear of the vehicle. I cleaned it and thought nothing of it. It came came back after a few weeks. I just assumed I did not get it completely the first time, so cleaned it again. After a few months, I finally realized it is a water leak that appears after each rain storm. I normally park inside at night. When I spoke to the service department, I was told that after 30 days, they are not obligated to do anything but they took the vehicle in and found the water leak. They had to remove and reinstall the rear window. They also cleaned the ceiling fabric to get rid of the water stains.

Scott Takacs was able to order electrical relays that were not in stock at any Jeep dealers or auto parts stores in the area or online either. He had the parts at 8 AM the next day. Even gave me discount pricing as well. Very friendly to work with. He took the time to look up the parts on the phone which I am sure can be difficult, especially when they have customers waiting for service in the store. Will defiantly go back for Mopar parts for quality and price and good service.

Total nightmare! Brought my daughter’s 2013 Kia Sorrento in this past summer for a recall on the motor. A new motor was installed in a timely fashion. While the vehicle was there, I asked if they could fix the air conditioning, which had stopped working. I agreed that it was no longer under warranty, and that I would pay for the repair, then the fun started. They kept the car for 2 mos, no loaner car because my daughter is only 18. They claimed that they had tested the entire system, and couldn’t find anything wrong, but the a/c still wouldn’t work. Wait, what??? Everything is fine but it won’t work?? So I got corporate Kia involved, and after getting the runaround from both , I finally was contacted by a Kia consumer affairs regional mgr, who said the case had been closed out by Dutchess Kia, and that they were not asking for any additional help from the corporate level. Nice of them right? So classes were about to begin, and my daughter needed her car back, so I reluctantly picked up the car, a/c still not working. Upon driving the car, my daughter found that the uvo radio wasn’t operating, including the backup camera and hands free phone. Called and left a msg, explaining what the problem was and said I would check the fuse and get back to them. The next day , the uvo system began working again. A few days later the oil pressure light came on, so we brought the car back and the new motor they had installed was found to be defective. It took another week or two, but they installed another new motor. They called and said that the car was ready, but that the uvo system had stopped working again, and that they checked the whole system and couldn’t find anything wrong, but the uvo system will not work and they can’t fix it. I picked up the car, and I was extremely upset at this point, but before taking further action, I decided to google the problem and see what I could find. It literally took me 5 minutes to find the answer and another 5 minutes to get the uvo system up and running again. This should tell you all you need to know about the quality of techs they have working at this dealership. I’ve owned a business in Dutchess cty. For 27 yrs. , and I’m going to make a point to tell everyone about this experience. I’ll never go there for anything ever again, and I will do exactly the opposite of recommending such a poor quality business.
Lied, nearly destroyed my car, then lied again - IHateLiars
I went in for an oil change and a tire rotation.
After they had "finished" I noticed the tire rotation had not been done (I had recently replaced the driver's side front tire with a different brand, and that tire had not moved from it's driver's side front position). When I brought it up, I was told the mechanic said he rotated the tires (in other words, he lied). 3,000 miles later I happen to notice a puddle of oil under the car. I checked and found the oil was down one court. I suspected the same mechanic who had lied about the tire rotation neglected to properly secure the drain plug. After taking it back in, according to them, it was a "bad drain plug gasket" (I don't believe this, but whatever). Even if it's true, they could have killed my engine by using a faulty gasket (I am more inclined to think the mechanic simply failed to secure the drain plug, just as he failed to rotate the tires, and also failed to give me a new oil change reminder sticker). They are blaming the part (which they installed).
When I posted a negative review on the Better Business Bureau, the manager doubled-down with the lie about the tire rotation, claiming EVERYONE at the garage says the tire rotation occurred, and implied that I was lying. However, when I went back in after finding the oil leak, the woman at the counter told me that the mechanic who lied about the tire rotation was "spoken firmly to about it." So if its' true that "everyone" at the garage, then why would the service clerk tell me this?
He also was very nonchalant about the oil leak, which was really far more important that the tire rotation.
I can never go there again (unless I decide to go in and cash on the free inspection and detailing they still owe me since buying the car last year).
