He listened to what I wanted, answered ALL my questions, explained everything about the truck, was flexible on how I wanted the deal and gave me a good price for my trade. Very few car sales people have the knowledge that John obviously has from his years of experience. He understood it was a big investment for me and wanted to be sure I was getting the truck that met my needs - it never felt like he was just trying to close the deal. Worst service ever! Made an appointment for my 2010 corvette on Monday, dropped it off Saturday the 5th, come Thursday the 10th they hadn't touched it! Thing is...they knew xxx i was bringing it in for! From the receptionist to the repair reps...they are all rude as xxxx. Kept saying "well it is a 2010..." xxx does that mean? Acting like parts for it are rarer than rare! lol Patrick basically dared me to come pick up my car if i wasnt happy. OK, don't threaten me with your loss of business. Picked it up Thursday 4pm. Never, ever again! JERKS!

I had been searching for a car with a highly competitive market and had walked away from countless dealerships who gave me the sales pitch without heeding my side of the equation. Paul, Joe & Reece at Doug Smith exceeded all of my expectations and then some. If you’re looking for good, honest, hard-working car salesman who are out to make lifelong customers as opposed to squeezing every penny out of a deal this is where I recommend you start. This team earned my respect professionally and ethically and so long as I am in the area they’ll be my first stop when car shopping. The story: I spent 5 years eyeing Honda Pilots. They can be hard to negotiate on because they sell so fast and often at asking price; especially with a clean record & spotless service history. I set my financial goals ahead of time and was expecting to be turned down again but the guys at Doug Smith did everything possible to close the gap and make the deal work. I ended up with a pristine 1-owner Honda Plot Elite with a perfectly maintained service record at the exact price I was looking for. I have developed a very good understanding of the market for this vehicle and they easily could have turned me away and sold this car for asking price within days (I had seen two similar cars disappear that week from other lots who refused to negotiate with me). Toyota in Murray, UT actually turned me away when I showed up with a rep from one of their sister stores (they’re supposed to have access across lots but we were refused because they knew the car would be a quick sell; and it was). The team at Doug Smith could have gotten a higher price out of this car, absolutely no question. It had just arrived on their lot that day. But instead, they aimed for making a loyal customer and now I’ll send everyone I can in their direction with a crystal clear conscience.

This dealership had a vehicle listed that has restrictions but there are no restrictions listed on the KSL posting. After back and forth discussion with the dealership they have been incredibly rude and they need to change their description that they will ONLY sell to local people. If they are only going to sell to local people then why are they posting a listing that can be seen by out-of-state customers. The listing is very deceiving and working with the dealership is even more of a challenge. Save you time and money.
