I do not leave reviews lightly, and I do not take vehicle repair lightly. When I am spending nearly a month’s pay to repair my vehicle, the bar is extremely high for both customer service and technical knowledge. I would gladly pay more for truly great service, but with East Tennessee Ford, I did not have to. I do not regret my choice and feel that it was money well spent.
The Service Department at East Tennessee Ford exceeded every expectation we had. Thomas Williams, our Service Advisor, was outstanding. He was honest, reliable, and truly professional from start to finish. Melissa in the Warranty Department went to bat for us against one of the worst service contracts out there, Endurance, which was not purchased from this dealership, and for good reason. She fought hard to make sure we were taken care of, and that kind of advocacy is rare.
Service Manager Doug clearly runs a top notch operation, and Jimmy made the pickup process smooth and easy. Every technician involved deserves recognition as well. Our 14 year old Focus now drives like it is brand new.
The turnaround time was incredible. The vehicle was fully diagnosed in just one day, despite needing three major repairs, tires, and several overdue critical maintenance services. Even more impressive, the cost was very reasonable and comparable to independent shops, while still providing true dealership level expertise and service without the typical markup.
As a woman with extensive professional experience in the automotive industry, both in dealership service departments and at the corporate level for a major manufacturer, I can confidently say this. I was treated with respect, communicated with clearly, and never once talked down to or dismissed. That alone sets this team apart from many others.
This was our first time with this dealership, but we are far from new to working with service departments, and this was without question one of the best experiences we have ever had.
I am more than willing to put my personal and professional reputation behind recommending this service department to anyone. They have earned a customer for life.
