I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Magic City CDJR Bedford.
My RAM 5500 with only 32,000 miles was in your service department for nearly two months for a rear differential replacement under warranty. After this very long wait, the truck was returned to me as “repaired” and safe to drive.
However, within 40 minutes of leaving the dealership, I heard a loud humming noise coming from the rear differential and immediately returned to your service department. Your staff listened to the noise and assured me that everything was normal and that it was only tire noise. I was sent back on the road in a commercial truck that was later confirmed to be unsafe.
After arriving in Chicago, I had no choice but to visit an independent shop. During inspection and fluid drain, they found a significant amount of metal shavings and metal particles inside the differential oil. This clearly indicates that the issue was not properly repaired when the differential was replaced by your dealership.
Essentially, I was released with a potentially unsafe vehicle and told that everything was fine. This put my safety at risk and also put my business at risk, as this is a commercial truck and my primary source of income.
I lost a tremendous amount of time, money, and work because of the service department’s negligence and lack of proper diagnosis. Instead of resolving the warranty issue properly, I was sent back on the road with an unresolved mechanical problem.
This level of service from an official RAM dealership is completely unacceptable.
