This review comes later than it should have. - Truthmatters
This review comes later than it should have. I’ve had an intense, challenging and difficult year which delayed me reviewing my experience, and buying this car only added to the stress. I came to this dealership in January because there was a 2019 Nissan rogue with heated seats in a neutral color. I drove over an hour to get there. I told the sales team exactly what I could afford. I had excellent credit. I was polite And firm. They would not adjust the price at all. The salesperson and finance person teamed up and bullied me into a payment that was more than I could afford. I was very direct about what I could afford. They kept asking me well can’t you afford $100 more? What about just $50 more? They would only ask me to pay more and wouldn’t lower the price at all even if I would be struggling. They kept making fun of my “poker face.” They also only gave me $800 for my trade even though other dealerships had already offered me more, which I communicated but was ignored. Furthermore, upon leaving the dealership, I noticed that the seats weren’t getting very hot. I thought maybe it was just a Nissan thing. But then I realized that they just weren’t working. Because every now and then it would turn on and get extremely hot like it should be… and turn off again. It’s the only reason I bought the car. I’m a tattoo artist, and I have bad back pain. Additionally, The Apple CarPlay only works sometimes. There’s a persistent knocking coming from the driver side tire area that has been there since I drove off the lot. Even worse, I bought the gap insurance and was told that my insurance would be transferred to my new vehicle. I left uninformed and ill prepared. Fast-forward to about a month ago when I am pulled over because my license is suspended since I do not have insurance for my vehicle. I have been paying Geico every month to insure the car I traded in. I paid over five hundred dollars in tickets and reinstatement fees. This is completely unacceptable and I am so, so extremely disappointed. I feel that in fairness these things on the vehicle should be repaired free of charge. Additionally, the sales person to the left of the person I worked with approached me and told me that I was getting a great car, it used to belong to his clients. It was always garage kept and in perfect condition. Imagine my surprise when I get to finance and there’s a $3000 reconditioning fee added that hadn’t been discussed. When I asked about this, the sales person was brought into finance and looked at me like I was an idiot. He explained that they had to spend $3000 to get the car back in tiptop shape for ME. The car wasn’t even clean when I took it home. There were oily smudges on all the surfaces and dust everywhere. I was so excited about getting a new car that I didn’t really notice and I was trying to convince myself that I was OK with the way that everything went. I feel really taken advantage of.
