I bought a used Toyota Highlander from Andy Mohr Nissan. - Olsenbrandt
I bought a used Toyota Highlander from Andy Mohr Nissan. It had a good price on it so I went ahead to buy it. My salesman Brandon was a nice guy. I had a trade in so Brandon came back with an offer with my trade in price. I noticed the offer had $1800 worth of Ziebart Gold Shield rust proof prevention. I told him I didn’t want that so he took it off. I told him I wanted to get my monthly payments as close to $300 a month as possible. Brandon came back with payments around $360 a month. I agreed to buying it. I then had to go back to the financing person. There they try to pressure you into a bunch of extended warranties with my monthly payment over $500. I told him I don’t want any warranties. He then in a very belittling way asked me why wouldn’t you want those, like I’m so stupid that I’m not wanting those warranties. I wanted to leave and I actually started looking at other used cars online on my phone. I told him I didn’t like how this was going so he backed off. I noticed that the interest rate was over 10%. He then started typing on his computer and offered me the least expensive warranty for $10 more a month. I said no but I noticed that the interest rate went down. He started typing some more and said he’d throw the lowest warranty in at no charge. I noticed that the interest rate went down again to 7.69%. At this point I just wanted to get out of there, I liked the vehicle so I signed everything without looking at what I was signing very closely. What a mistake I made. Looking at the paperwork afterwards I have charges of $799 for Ziebart Gold Shield, $299 for Theft (I don’t know what that is) and then this one $2987 for Level 1 HM Used vehicle rates. They didn’t explain any of this to me. I’m sick to my stomach and will never ever go to any Andy Mohr dealership again. Shame on me for not looking at the paperwork closer. If you go there read your contract with a fine tooth comb. Andy Mohr is what gives buying cars from a dealership a bad name.
