I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Garavel Subaru was so frustrating and disappointing that I feel compelled to warn others. From start to finish, the communication from this dealership was ab Subaru was so frustrating and disappointing that I feel compelled to warn others. From start to finish, the communication from this dealership was abysmal. Calls and emails routinely went unanswered, and when I did get a response, it was often vague, rushed, or dismissive. At no point did I feel like a valued customer — instead, I felt like an inconvenience. My salesperson, Rudy, was polite but seemed to know less about the vehicles than most customers. It was difficult to get clear, informed answers, and I often had to do my own research to understand key features and differences between models. To make matters worse, I was upsold on warranty add-ons at the end of the process — products that were presented as offering comprehensive coverage, including protection for failed electronics. Unfortunately, this turned out to be misleading. When issues arose, I learned the warranty didn’t actually cover what was promised. This felt deceptive and left me with a costly plan that offered little real value. I’ve been so frustrated with this experience that I’ve begun drafting emails to Senator Blumenthal’s office regarding what I believe is price gouging and misrepresentation in auto warranty sales. When I reached out to Subaru of America for help, I received minimal support. They either couldn’t or wouldn’t intervene, and their lack of follow-through made it clear that customer satisfaction ends the moment you leave the showroom. More

I had an incredible buying experience at Garavel. Visiting from out of state and my Outback broke needing significant work - older car and pricey repairs, flat bedded to Garavel on a recommendation. Well, I ended up buying a new Crosstrek and it was a very easy and very friendly process. Rudy was accommodating in every way - kind, personable, SO helpful, knew his stuff! Teddy was great too! It was like talking to old friends. Would definitely buy from Rudy again. Great ride back to Vermont, driving my new "Vermont State Car" - the SUBARU!!! PS - also was helped by Omar in Service with my old car, and he was great in getting me set, giving me a loaner, etc...... More

All good except 2 issues: (1) tailgate would not close due to conflicting signals from front and rear close buttons that showed the tailgate in different positions. Front control center screen showed it closed but back control center (?) thought it was open and beeped until I reset the entire car by disconnecting the battery. (2) Android and Apple phones keep overheating when on wireless charging pad making it useless. More

I recently purchased a new car from them, and from start to finish, the process was smooth an share my experience with the Norwalk Subaru dealership. I recently purchased a new car from them, and from start to finish, the process was smooth and comfortable. Rudy Sookraj, the salesperson who answered my call, was friendly, sincere, and attentive. I used to think buying a car was more of a "guy’s thing," but Rudy made me feel completely at ease throughout the process. I also want to mention Jose Vargas, who assisted me with financing. He explained everything—including the extended warranty packages—in detail, without making me feel pressured. Additionally, I appreciate Bob, the manager, who took the time to listen to my needs and worked with me on pricing. Rudy was incredibly patient in explaining all the car’s features and even followed up afterward to ensure I had everything I needed. What I appreciated most about this dealership was that I felt valued rather than pushed. The entire dealership is clean and spacious, the staff is friendly, and I even enjoyed their muffins! More
