Great experience at Boardwalk Acura twice in the past few months. First, my son leased a 2016 Acura MDX Tech and received an extremely great deal. Then today Dec 2nd, I just bought a 2017 Acura TLX Tech for the wife. It was an easy pleasurable transaction. It was a deal that really couldn't be beat, and believe me I shopped it. Sonny Botto, the sales manager, is really one of the best people in the car business that you'll ever meet (in my opinion) and I have met more than enough. The staff at Open Road Acura of Wayne were the best! They encouraged me to drive the car I was interested in before taking any other steps to sell me! How refreshing that was. I did lease a new RDX from them, great car. The finance guy John is amazing and my sales person was very knowledgeable and made the process fun and quick! Highly recommend this dealership and I can't believe some of the negative reviews I read on here about them, not sure if those people are just angry or impossible to please...LOL

My boyfriend and I purchased a car from this dealership over the weekend. The buying process went smoothly and the internet sales manager and sales associate were friendly. We were able to drive the car off the lot that evening. We returned on Monday to finalize some open transaction issues. While there, we explained one of the two car key remotes had a dead battery and requested that they change it. It was explained that their service department was closed that day so they couldn't replace the battery. We explained that we lived over an hour away and if we could leave the key to have shipped back to us or if they could ship a new battery in which they said no. They did not offer any other way to resolve this issue. On Tuesday, I called the sales associate thinking he could give us better customer service considering we just bought a car from him two days prior. He suggested we could either return to the dealership or since we live so far away that we should go to radio shack, buy the battery, and install it ourselves. When I said we didn't know where the battery even went, he said "You can Google it". The problem is that I shouldn't have to Google how to do anything if I just bought a CAR from you. Why are you giving key remotes with dead batteries to new customers and then blowing them off once a deal is made? When I explained that the least they could have done on Monday was given us a battery from the other hundreds of remotes they had available for test driving cars that day, he said it wouldn't have been a new battery in which I had to point out that it is better than a DEAD battery. It is a shame that this dealership would rather risk receiving bad reviews from my boyfriend and I, plus his family who also witnessed what happened, rather than replace a battery in a key remote. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone even if they were giving away free cars.
Be careful turning in a lease - magny4
I will start by writing about previous experiences which were positive. Over the last 10 years, I have leased 4 cars from Open Road Acura. The main reason for my continued business was the ethics of the dealership and the ease they provided to re-lease a car. That all changed this year. To make a very long story short, we turned in our MDX lease and paid ~ 5,600 out of pocket to lease a new RDX. We turned the car in like the previous 3 times and thought all was ok. We received a statement in the mail stating that we owe over $1,700 due to a few issues with the car, a dinged windshield, a tire that although was fine, didnt match the make of the other 3, and a claimed scraping of the bumper. I think the scraping happened there after we turned in the car, but we will never know. If the dealer would have let me know beforehand, I could have had all repaired for ~$80.00 since I had insurance to cover the windshield etc. I would have never leased the car at this time had i known the issues, and only leased another car with this dealer due to previous experience. Never again. Now andrew, the manager up there did help out, but still left us with over $700.00 additional out of pocket. Ive never really haggled with these guys but was now >$6,000 oop on a RDX. They were so intent on making the sale, they ignored all aspects of customer service, and really nailed me on this one. Do not trust this dealership. Get everything in writing, and most important shop around. 10 years, 4 cars and I now say NEVER AGAIN.
