Giving it a good above average even though 3 stars says average because they did work with my fiancé and I we originally made an appointment to test drive a vehicle and when we arrived the vehicle was not average because they did work with my fiancé and I we originally made an appointment to test drive a vehicle and when we arrived the vehicle was not there they did reach out to me via email asking me to call them but I did not that was my bad ( because I did not put my number down I don’t like being hassled left and right reason why I didn’t leave my number on the inquiry) but it was not a waste of time they did have other vehicles like we wanted (Chevy Tahoe) drove one of them and looked at other options but were not pushy to run credit like other dealerships we had been at, we made another appointment for the following day for the one we wanted we still had to wait but they did work with us so overall good experience More
Great price on my new Chevy truck. I traveled from Iowa 2 1/2 hours away because my local dealers couldn't match the price or come anywhere close. It's been an overall Bad new truck buying experience. I drove 2 1/2 hours to test drive the truck. They knew I was coming and the truck had a foot of snow in the back and had to wait 20 minutes for them to drove 2 1/2 hours to test drive the truck. The salesman thought I was only going to drive it around the parking lot so I had to wait 10 more minutes for him to get a license plate. I decided to buy and emailed the salesman questions and he wouldn't email back. My biggest question was the interest rate which I didn't find out until I arrived to get the truck. The finance guy Tom told me 4% was the best he could do. I was upset and 1/2 hour later it he could get me 2.99%. I eventually got a 1.9% loan from my local credit union. Don't get financing from them. Have it ready to go before you buy. I've read several bad reviews about problems with high interest rates. Seems quite a bit shady. The kicker is they raised the price of truck by close to $800 from the purchase price I was quoted until the signing which I didn't notice until days later. I was distracted thinking about the interest rate and forgot to double check it. I've emailed trying to see if they honor the original purchase price but the new car sales manager Mike won't email back. The only reason I bought from Advantage was because of the price and color of the truck. I could have got the same deal at Ron Westphal Chevy as far as price but not the color. They seemed extremely professional and I would highly recommend them unlike Advantage Chevrolet of Hodgkins. I thought because of their size they would be excellent to work with. I was wrong. Get the best price from them and shop around to other dealers. I can't believe the owners would be proud of changing a purchase price at the signing of a contract taking a few hundred dollars more from a customer. I was too trusting. On a good note. Ask for Ron Grenfell. He seems like a very good salesman. I think had I dealt with him my review would have been far better. Since I highly doubt Advantage will stand behind their original purchase agreement I can only leave an honest review and contact GM customer complaint department. On a comical note the sales manager Mike sent me to letters for me to give all excellent marks to GM for a $25 gift card. So if you ever wonder why there are so many 5 stars it could be because of that. More
