First time BMW owner, first time in for service, not a great experience. The M235 is shifting inconsistently in the low gears, sometimes quick shifts other times it revs out as if its not sure when to sh great experience. First words out of the Advisors mouth: those DCTs (dual clutch transmissions) act that way. I'm thinking really? Have you ever driven a dual clutch? I have for for the past 15 years a 2008 Audi TT and its shifting behavior is fine, so I would disagree with that stmt. Maybe he wants to say: BMWs DCTs are crap compared to other european car brands? They don't find anything wrong, ok fine. So I ask if they will reset the TCM Adaptive Learning so the transmission will learn my style of driving versus the previous owner. He says he can't do that because the Service Manager is in class, call back in 2 days. I'm like WHAT? There is no one here that can approve service. What a waste of my time. More
