James is always helpful and good to work with I am giving the service center a good rating because of James and because of the turn around time on my car as the repairs were unexpected. James is always super helpful and patient and always explains the circumstances up front. I cannot however omit the fact that in both instances when I called service to speak with James I encountered a gentleman who's name I wish I could remember (it was not a common name) and he could not have been less helpful. One word answers, absolutely no effort to get any information and was just rude in general. So much so that on my second encounter with him I asked to speak with someone else. That is just not my way but this person was so unprofessional. The guys were also great when I went to pick my car up. That always seems to be the case. More

Rude to my wife (and disorganized) You recently asked us to bring the car in for a pre-lease return inspection. My wife confirmed with Stephanie on 7/23 that she could bring the car in on 7/23 for inspection. It was raining. When she brought it in, she was left standing in the rain waiting for someone to help her for 15 minutes. Then she waited for 40 minutes to be helped. When she was finally helped, the guy who helped her said he couldn't inspect it wet and said "please don't make me go dry it off." She also said that he was annoyed that she didn't know the end of the lease date. Excuse me? This is absurd. You should have dried the car off, inspected it, and looked up the lease date. You know what it is. My wife summarized the experience by saying that her time at your dealership was worse than the RMV. But wait. There's more. My wife then brought the car in for service on 8/29. It took 25 minutes for them to bring the car up and when my wife approached the service advisor, he didn't remember who she was and said it was because "five other angry wives had come in today." Most women love being told they are angry when they're not. My wife is no exception. They didn't wash the car and never did manage to do the pre-lease inspection. My lease is up in a month and because of this experience we're leaning toward an Audi. Love your vehicles, but this dealer experience has been beyond bad. More

He always delivers as a Manager in Service and was extremely helpful in the purchase of my new BMW from Hadi. After having tremendous difficulty with the auto mated sales function through herb chambers and speaking with many un-informed sales reps, who never knew who I was when I called or what car I was interested or didn't provide answers on stock numbers and availability, I finally called Mark and asked his assistance in identifying a knowledgeable and well-informed sales rep. Mark suggested Hadi. Hadi was pleasant, communicative, collaborative, and overall attentive throughout the entire sales purchase. During the sales cycle, he even needed to take a holiday and during that time he answered my emails and offered assistance. I told him I appreciate his responsiveness and didn't want to work with anyone else. If the car was not available when he gets back, we would just work to find another that met expectations. The relationship and the communication of the sale was more important then the actual car itself. I appreciate the time and dedication both of these employees delivered and hope that you share this positive review with them as well. More

Profoundly bad experience I’ve been a Herb Chambers customer for 20 years, having gone through several Hondas and two mini coopers; my experiences up til now have been good to I’ve been a Herb Chambers customer for 20 years, having gone through several Hondas and two mini coopers; my experiences up til now have been good to great. I now have a BMW i3 from Herb Chambers and have been caught in a loop of poor service and surly staff. It feels much worse than what I experienced with other Herb Chambers cars. The issue is complex but relates to problems not being dealt with in a clear and forthright manner, misinformation, and no sense of ownership when missteps by the staff forced me to return several times for a problem that could have been dealt with easily much earlier. No one has ever apologized or acknowledged the hassle and cost I’ve incurred. Overall I’ve been made to feel unimportant to the service staff and so, somewhat reluctantly, I have taken my service needs elsewhere. More

no communication My recent service visit with Herb Chambers was not one of my most pleasant visits. I went there and explained that my rear brake pads needed attentio My recent service visit with Herb Chambers was not one of my most pleasant visits. I went there and explained that my rear brake pads needed attention based on the display in the vehicle and I also need a vehicle inspection Randall that was required during the inspection. I left my vehicle there and took a loaner vehicle. My appointment was for 7:15am on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. I called the service department later that afternoon to check on the status of my car. I did not get an update during that call but waited for my service tech. to call me back or email my the status. I finally spoke with the service tech and he advised me that the car needed other things repaired, I told him to go ahead and start the work. I was also told that I needed new tires because the treads were worn, I disagreed with the service tech. and told him to relook at the tires and my file because I had purchased new tires last year (2018). He came back to me and told me that the tech just did a look see on the tires and did not measure them. That I thought was unprofessional. When I finally got my car back the receipt said that the front brake pads were replaced, that's not what I had come there for. The explanation that was witten up in the report was that the front brakes was down to 5mm and the rear was at 7mm, which is strange to me because last year the rear break measurement was 6mm, so how can it be 7mm now????? My last complaint is that when they gave me my vehicle back they had not given me a complimentary car wash, I had to ask for it. They took the car back for the wash and after 45 minutes waiting for it no-one came to tell me the car was ready. One of the service techs came through the waiting room and made eye contact with me and asked me if I was all set, I told him I haven't heard from anyone since I sent the car back for a wash. He told me that it was outside all set, When I followed him outside he pointed to my vehicle which was behind another vehicle. Why didn't someone come and let me know when my care was ready????? More
