Check Engine Light on GLK250 - Formosa
I ordered my very first Mercedes, a 2014 GLK 250, through the Ft Washington Mercedes. During the warranty period, the check engine light had been on for a couple of times. The service had not been able to identify any problems. Now the warranty is expired. The light is on again. The air intake and engine filter were replaced yesterday. Today, the very next day, the check engine light is on again.
Apparently, the fix did not solve the real issue. It is unethical that the recurrent issue was not solved during the warranty period. Now after the warranty is expired, they try and error at my expense, not knowing the underlying real issue.
I currently also own a BMW and a Volvo. Any problems on those two were fixed at the first attempt by our local BMW and Volvo dealerships. This check engine light on business has been entertained several times at the Ft Washington Mercedes. It is still a mystery.

This is my third Mercedes from this dealer. Never disappoint me. I worked with Clinton Abney first time on this purchased and he was great. He went beyond his duties and spend some time to find us what we need. There were a few problems on our end that was blocking our purchase but Clinton and his manager handled it very professionally. I wish I would have looked at BBB rating and online reviews before going to this place. I can't believe Mercedes Benz tolerates all the complaints and bad reviews of this place. Apparently the owner of this establishment doesn't care either. My experience with the sales staff is no different that the rest of the people that went there and left horrible reviews with the BBB and online review sites. I had a confirmed appointment with Lori to look at a new Mercedes. I got there and was told that Lori would be with me in a few minutes, she was finishing up with another customer. I sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes before being addressed by another salesman (Neil) who said he could help me, and that Lori had to leave for the day. She left the dealership without even saying hello, when I confirmed an appointment on the phone with her. Neil informed me that the vehicle that I made an appointment to drive an hour earlier, was in fact already sold. I gave a 1 star rating only because 0 or negative numbers are not an option.

On October 23, 2016 while travelling on Interstate 295 south, my automobile became the victim of an extremely large and deep pot hole. Being seven hours from home, my car was taken to Cherry Hill Mercedes for tire replacements. It became clear from the service manager that coordination from Bobby Rahal Motorcar personnel would be necessary to activate my road hazard warranty and verify the certification warranty. A phone call to Mr. Pete Delli Bovi, Jr. , the sales consultant who sold me the car, immediately resolved the coordination issues! Thank you Pete for being so attentive and responsive to my wife and me in a time of need!
