I had visited another Honda dealership just five minutes from my house, and it wasn’t a pleasant experience at all—rushed, impersonal, and honestly discouraging. I left feeling frustrated and decided to take a chance by driving 30 minutes to Conicelli Honda instead. I’m so glad I did.
I originally went just to test the waters. I knew I’d need a new car soon, but I didn’t plan on buying anything that day. Right away, some of the salesmen were what I expected—pushy and sales-driven, the kind of experience most people dread at a dealership.
Then I met David Cobb, and everything changed.
Dave was exceptional. He was patient, professional, and kind. He didn’t pressure me at all—he made me feel completely at ease and truly listened to what I wanted. While we were out on the test drive, I even told him, “Even if I don’t buy a car today, when I do, it’ll be from you.” I meant it, not realizing that “when” would turn out to be that same day.
Coming from a 2003 Honda, the new technology felt overwhelming at first—push-to-start, backup camera, and other modern features I wasn’t used to. But Dave was incredibly patient. He never made me feel silly for asking questions, no matter how small they were. He walked me through everything, answered every question with a smile, and even took the time to help me practice using the backup camera until I felt completely comfortable. That kind of support made all the difference.
As I sat at Dave’s desk while he stepped away to talk to his managers and run some numbers, I overheard other salesmen speaking with their customers. I honestly thought to myself, If I had gotten one of them, I probably would’ve just walked out. I was beyond grateful I had Dave. He made the entire process feel calm, respectful, and easy.
If more car salespeople were like Dave, dealerships would sell a lot more cars. He completely changed my experience for the better.
I ended up purchasing a 2026 Honda CR-V EX-L, and I couldn’t be happier with it.
If I could give him a 20 out of 10, I absolutely would—but since I can’t, I’ll just give him 10s across the board. I love my new car, and I’m so thankful that Dave made it happen.
