No one likes to go to a dealership to buy a car. It takes hours and hours and you never know if there trying to rip you off. They always try to up sell you and never care about what you say. My wife was rear ended and the person took off. Totaled her car and insurance only gave a rental for 3 days. We want into bokan and was very honest, mistake number 1. Told them she has bad credit but we need a car now. They said they could work with us. We found a 2014 Chevy cruze with 45000 miles on it, priced at a little over 9000 after a $2000 mark down. We were clear saying we wanted to put down $700 with no more then $300 a month. Anon gave us the keys and we moved are stuff to the car. Just had to pick what we wanted from the pencil. Picked the 3 year with 700 down. Great get me my car and I'm outta here. He brought us to the ford shop to finish the sale. He walks out and bow he says we need $2500 to $3000 down to buy the car. We had already done the pencil, figured out the payments and now I need $3000 down? We walked away. I wanted that car. I told my wife a few days later to just go put down the $2500 on the car cause we needed it. My wife went in to put the money down in the Chevy and now that chevy doesnt QUALIFY for the special financing but thses other 5 cars with close to 1000000 Mike's in them you can buy. What, we want the chevy we test drove and were told if we put $2500 down it was ours. Well my wife walked away cause they were not honoring the deal. I called anon when I got home from work to figure put what happened. He stated he had nothing to do with the special financing. Anon 8s the one we dealt with. He is the one that gave us HIS card. He is the one that had us test drive. He is also the one that dod all the numbers. Not to mention I'm pretty sure anon is the financing manager, but we wont bother with that. If anon has nothing to so with special financing then why did he help us. Why did he do the numbers and why did he give us HIS card. He stated steve did the special financing. I had neve meet steve nor talked with steve prior to this phone call. After anon got sick of me questioning him steve got on. Steve stated the chevy was not part of the special financing and anon didnt know that, wait what. Why did anon tell us we needed $2500 down then and we could have that car. Steve just kept saying he didnt know. Well they work in the same place and they were talking on the phone when we were there so that is not a good excuse. There and then I stated it felt like they were trying to take advantage of my wife cause i wasnt there. He said the cars with 100000 miles in them have a 18 month warranty. When i stated that warranty wont cover wear parts he just said he didnt know. Well steve you deal with it all day every day. I even know wear parts can not and will not be covered with any warranty. I left it at that amd hung up. 10 minutes later steve called and left a voicemail. He stated he felt bad and wanted to "HELP" us cause of there mistake. He stated he talked with the bank and they now can accept the chevy cruze on special financing, wow how convent. Now he said the terms were $2500 down with 303 a month for around 54 months, dont quite remember exact amount. Around 4 and half years wih a 19% apr. I know huge apr but remeber credit isnt good. Wow wait a minute those numbers dont xxx up at all. The chevy is on the lot for $9500 marked down from a little over $11000. The first pencil was for $700 down $303 to $340 a month for 4 years. Now its $2500 down with 19% at $303 an month for around 54 months. Woo wait a minute. Some simple easy math says they marked that same car up a lot. That same car sitting on the lot for $9500 is now around $13500.00 with the 19% apr it brings it to around $15,5000. All rough estimates but you get the point. Now the NADA. After they gave me those numbers I had to dig into it more. A 2014 chevy cruze with 45000 miles has a nada of around $5500. Financing people go by the NADA and will not loan you money to bye a car that far off from the NADA, it's a bad investment from the start. You cant blame the banks, it makes no sense to. So a few questions comes to mind. Why is that chevy cruze $4000 off the NADA as it sits on the lot. Even more they say its marked down from over $11000. Second questions is where did they get the numbers the second time. That is almost $10,000 off the nada. They stated the bank set the terms but as just stated banks would never give you $155000to buy a car with a nada of $5000, just wont happen. So, where would of my extra $100000 gone, hmmmmm. They say no commission sales to make you feel better and to do it different. Always remember you are giving them your hard earned money that most of the time you dont even have yet. Dealerships are not doing you favors. If you have bad credit it doesn't matter. Your money is just as good as someone wih good credit. The bad credit is the 19% apr. Not a huge mark up on the cost of the car. Always give through the numbers and always look at how long of a term the loan is. Just cause the payments go down doesnt mean its cheaper. More then likely the loan went from say a 4 year to a 5 year.
We went down the road to handy the next day and got a car with no hassle and at a good price. xxxx only took 2 hours. This is why people hate dealing wih dealerships. At least bokan talked themself out of me spending and extra $4000 on that car. Thanks bokan

This dealer is one who ACTUALLY CARES about the impression and reputation their service leads to. I went to Barrette's with low hopes of being able to get out of the car I was in due to the negative equity. But Sara not only got me thousands more for my trade than what any other dealer would give, she went even farther and got another $500 for it, bringing me within $1,000 of what I owed. She stayed past closing time to let me pick up my new vehicle/sign my paperwork. This is a family owned business and they WILL work with you! No pushey gimmicks or pitches. Ray provided kind & professional service quickly. We were travelling and Ted Green Ford welcomed us and our 2 dogs - My dogs were welcomed with some treats and they even provided us with a ride to go and get a rental car.
