UPDATE: Car King did contact me back and got me in contact with their mechanic. The mechanic was able to fix the issues and I passed my emissions test. I really appreciate that they worked hard at turning a bad experience into a good one. I would go back. I purchased a 2011 Ford Fusion on 3/9/24 from Car King. They said that they had checked out and topped off everything and the oil had been changed. April 25th I went to a Valvoline to get an oil change and have my emission test done (oil change was not really needed but I was going on a 5 hour drive that weekend and wanted to have things looked over). They couldn't change the oil because Car King had sold me a car with a stripped oil plug. Which means that either their mechanic stripped it or they lied about the oil change. The car also did not pass emissions because of a leak in the evap system. Now I am fully aware that they can sell me a vehicle that won't pass emissions. It's fine, that's the risk you run when buying a used vehicle, the dealership can sell you something that's not actually technically legal to drive on the road. They probably just turned the check engine light off and happily sold it. But when a mechanic strips an oil plug, typically you can go back to the mechanic and hold them accountable. I contacted Car King on April 26th, and was told by Austin that he would send me their mechanic's information and I could call to set up a time to take the car in. I called on May 6th and left a message for Austin. I called on May 7th and left a message for Austin. I called on May 8th and kept calling until I actually was able to talk to Austin (apparently he's the only one you can talk to about mechanical issues). He told me he would text me the mechanics information. Again I received no word back. I called on May 9th and left a voice message. I'm guessing they just want to sell their crap and never deal with you again. I'm posting this as a BUYER BEWARE. If they don't even have the decency to fix one trivial thing, something that wouldn't even cost them a cent. Obviously zero cares given by this place. All I was looking for was the mechanic to fix what he broke and for them to refer me to someone who could help with the evap system.

As most of the use car sale lots are, of course, they can get you a loan that is overboard on interest, then they lie and tell you in 6 months you can refinance, more lies, even if you pay on time the companies that they stick you with will not refinance your load or even give you a lower rate, rip off, con deals. Mad City gave my son in law approval if I co-signed, and I said OK, so they even drove to my house to have me sign the paperwork, then when they arrived, they wanted me to be the first buyer on the loan which they never ever told us about in the first place, he tried to refinance for years while paying the car off and he was trapped with GM Finacial! It was supposed to build his credit and it wasn't he had to fight to have it put on his credit as he was paying the loan off! I should have learned when I had got a loan from Russ Davis, years before. There needs to be a law, this is unjust and unfair, no credit or bad credit doesn't give these companies a right to steal! I will never, ever, ever buy a new used car or new off a lot, EVER! I will always buy used from a private party! Who needs all the xx!

AVOID this dealership at all costs, if you do decide to gamble and buy from Jeff's Northshore google the VIN number so you can see what auction they bought it from and for how much. I bought a 2018 chevy silverado and had numerous issued in the first month of owning. the won't fix unless I pay 100% of the cost. after I googled the VIN number I see they bought it from hansen auction group for $15k less than what I paid. the truck has serious issues...which is why they got it from an auction for so cheap....buyer beware!!!

I also appreciate that they are sticking to MSRP in a climate in which they could probably get more. Absolutely do not buy a car from James Town Auto nor go through Capital Auto credit You will more than likely regret it. I do. I was sold a car that I did not have for even a week. It was sold to me with a bad engine and now it’s been a nightmare to get it fixed. I’m paying for a car I cannot drive and they are no help Ive been paying more for repairs than payments. I called the week I got home with it because the check engine light continued to come on and I couldn’t go over 4 mph…. On the way home from the dealership. They tell you that DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE… at any location. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. There are plenty of bad reviews. I always made my monthly payments and always stayed in communication with this company. Yes I had fell behind a little but always made sure to make the full payment. Reason for falling behind is because of car repairs that were problems from the dealership not from me and they tell you that they will help you with car repair with a contact but never should we have to pay for repairs that they fail to tell you before you purchase the vehicle. I Captain communication with this company let them know that I'll be getting paid on Monday they then asked me to send over my check stub to make sure that they receive payment as soon as I did so and sent all my information over they came and got my vehicle the very next day as the repo people picked up my vehicle they told me that I was lied to by the debt collector they also told me that they do not like n****** or black people and they could not stand the man that was giving me the information because he's black I also have it on surveillance cameras from my house they were recorded I am blessed because now I have a new vehicle that runs great and I know now that I will not be treated unfairly I noticed that I started becoming treated unfairly once this company knew that I had a biracial son I am from Xenia Ohio I discovered that not only myself but several other people in the community that has rented from these dealerships and the bank of Jamestown Auto they noticed that they rigged their vehicles and Capital auto credit is an LLC they are the ones that sent over a repo guy and I only owed $500 after they picked up my vehicle they told me that I owed $700 when I've made several payments not to mention the car repairs I was told by Capital Auto Credit another reason why they came and got my vehicle is because I asked to speak to another representative and be assigned to another representative because I felt that I was treated unfairly and unkind I am only 37 years old and I've learned a lot from this experience I'm not bashing his company I just believe they need a lot of work and a lot of respect and to be honest and accurate with their customers when they sell a vehicle due to single mothers as myself that works extremely hard to stay up on her payments let alone up on payments on a vehicle that needed extremely amount of car repairs that I was not informed about I do not like the right reviews like this but some people should learn their lesson especially when it comes to a company and by the racial thing it's something that I cannot forget I felt very uncomfortable in that situation I understand that they're doing their job that they're picking up Vehicles because they're being asked to but I do not agree with how I was treated from Capital Auto one and how I was treated by the repo people that they sent never should the word n***** or black people be mentioned on how much you hate them when you're picking up somebody's vehicle very unprofessional and I was very uncomfortable let remind you I had the money to get my vehicle but instead I was smart enough and brave enough to get out of this situation before it was too late and find something different and start over again last but not least I have learned my lesson and what I've learned and what I'd like for you to know before you purchase a vehicle or to even consider ever going through a horrible dealership like this one If you're going to be doing business with a car dealership, it's important to know what kind of reputation they have.
