I went into the dealership tonight for one mission and that was to test drive the Santa Fe. I was greeted by J.O. who from the beginning was very helpful! We test drove two cars and she had all the info I needed. She was great and very knowledgeable!

Me and my wife were looking to purchase our granddaughter her first vehicle . After visiting three dealerships we had made a decision to give her our vehicle. We stopped by the Stivers Hyundai parking lot, and met Thomas Sanchez. We were impressed by his attention to detail, professional demeanor and knowledge of vehicles. Our goal was to look for a vehicle that we thought would be beneficial for her, initially searching without her because of her work hours. Once we saw this vehicle we sat down with Thomas and explained to Thomas that this was a vehicle our granddaughter was solely going to be to purchase on her own. She would go through the entire process herself from start to finish. She got off a little early from work to sign the contract and pay for the car. When we brought her in to dealership Thomas noticed she was a little nervous and excited. This was her first big purchase and it hadn’t really hit her about making this exciting life changing purchase. What amazed me was his insight of how he noticed her excitement and calmed her by expressing he would be there to answer any questions she may have at any time. This was something I truly appreciated. She was guided throughout the whole process. By the time she finished the purchase and keys were given to her she was ecstatic. This interaction resulted in her buying a certified pre-owned 2021 Hyundai Tucson. Mr. Sanchez was absolutely amazing. I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to help us throughout this process. He didn’t try to push her to get anything different. He was very attentive to us, made sure we had water and were comfortable. I consider him part of our family and look forward to our next purchase Thomas Sanchez should be considered for a sales manager/ training manager position.

Now known as Hyundai of Union County Monroe NC. We agreed upon a price on a vehicle. Drove in to take a look and suddenly they forget the agreed upon price. They are pulling the old bait and switch scam. I drove over an hour to get to the dealership wasting my time and gas. I am 0 for 2 with dealerships in Monroe. Not sure why I keep returning. Lesson learned. Monroe is not the place to purchase a vehicle apparently. They contacted me stating they had good news. I aint falling for that scam again. My suggestion is to search in the Huntersville Mooresvile area. You may pay a little more but the quality seems to be better for some reason. AND there is no bait and switch scam. Being lied to just hard to get over.

Review Title: Extremely Disappointed with Modern Hyundai of Concord Service Experience. I rarely write reviews, but my recent experience at Modern Hyundai of Concord was so disappointing that I felt others should be warned. I took my 2024 Hyundai Tucson Limited Hybrid with only 11,000+ miles in for an issue, expecting a professional and efficient process. Unfortunately, it was the exact opposite and what should’ve been a straightforward process turned into a frustrating ordeal. I went in for a Smart Cruise Control system issue where my car would detect a vehicle in the adjacent lane mostly right lane (along with in front as well) and start slowing down on the freeway. There was no warning sign or dashboard light about any system failure. It was just something that annoyed me as a feature while driving and since the vehicle was under manufacturer’s warranty, I decided to have it diagnosed. 1. Inaccurate Diagnoses and Overcharging: First appointment After diagnosis, I was told by the service team /advisor Mellisa Paige that the “Distance warning sensor” behind the grill is broken/chipped due to road debris/stone and since it’s an outside factor, it’s excluded from the manufacturer’s warranty. I was given an estimate of $700 + for the part and installation. I went ahead and paid for the part and made the next appointment for installation and left the dealership. 2. Questionable Recommendations : Second appointment Took my vehicle to have sensor installed at 9 a.m.Waited for more than 2 hours . I was told the software is having an issue recalibrating the new sensor . I asked for a loaner and drove home. Got a call from Melissa at 44 p.m. I was told that “they found the issue. It’s the front radar system assembly behind the front bumper, which is also broken as part of a road hazard. That’s the reason the new part installed is not recalibrating. So it’s not covered under warranty. The estimate given was $2900+ dollars . I was told to either pay or use my insurance if I would like to, and they can work with insurance.” Even worse now I had all the warning lights with multiple systems-failure lights and signs on the dashboard. I was told they can’t reset the system since its front radar system assembly is broken and needs to be replaced . I am glad I didn’t leave the vehicle there and didn’t call my insurance. There was something fishy/questionable and didn’t make any sense with what they were doing and explained to me. I drove back home again.  3. Another Opinion : Different dealership  The next day, I decided to make an appointment with another dealership . The advisor heard everything patiently and took the vehicle in for diagnosis. Guess what they found? There were loose wire connections, not properly tied plugs . They took all the pics . Once they connected everything back , the sensor was successfully recalibrated, and all the system warning lights were gone . They even showed me the front bumper was not tied securely from a Modern Hyundai. They even broke the bumper clips. I was told I might have paid unnecessarily for the part since there was nothing wrong with that . Just an alignment issue. What should have been a one-day job took nearly a week, without a clear explanation or apology. And I had to adjust my work schedule multiple times. 4. Lack of Accountability: When I tried to escalate my concerns to a service manager, I didn’t get any response back . No effort was made to resolve the issue or make things right. I expected much better from an authorized Hyundai dealership. I regret trusting Modern Hyundai of Concord with my vehicle and will not return. What should’ve been a quick repair turned into a long, frustrating process with unexpected delays. They also tried to up sell unnecessary services. Staff was unprofessional and offered no real help or accountability. I won’t be going back—save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere, If you value your time, money, and peace of mind.

Tilita is Awesome!! Unfortunately, one of my friends thought he was doing me a favor by getting some serious work done to my car. He didn't take it to Lee Hyundai to get it done. I know he meant well, but I was on edge. I was going out of town and was very concerned about the work that was done (Not at a hyundai dealer). Tilita squeeze me in on a Saturday to look at my car before I had to go back to Florida. She said that everything look fine according to the tech. It just needed a couple of things done. What a sigh of relief. I thank Tilita for her assistance on getting me in on a holiday weekend. I have also asked my friend to never have anything done to my car without the hyundai being involved going forward.

This facility is relatively new, and the building is impressive, located at 10518 Cadillac Street in Pineville/Charlotte. I recently leased a 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz, and I am extremely satisfied with the care and individualized attention I received from the Sales Manager, Mr. Fred Collymore. Fred was truly exceptional. He was patient, kind, and highly flexible, ensuring I never felt pressured or rushed during the process. Together with his outstanding Sales Team, which includes Tavarus Mcelvaine and Dylan Beery, they handled my lease with the utmost care and attention. As an active physician who travels to various sites, finding the right vehicle was crucial for me. I also needed a reliable vehicle for my journeys between New York and North Carolina. I am incredibly grateful to Fred for going above and beyond to help me secure the right car. During the negotiation process, I found Fred and his team to be dignified and fair. Tavarus Mcelvaine, my salesman, was knowledgeable and courteous. I had many questions, and Tavarus was always willing to provide the right answers. Dylan Beery also offered great support when Tavarus was not available. One aspect that stood out to me about this dealership is their unique team approach to sales. Additionally, the service area appeared well-organized and provided a comfortable space for customers waiting for their vehicles to be serviced. Overall, I am very impressed and had a tremendously positive experience with this recent lease. After oil changes for 4 yrs. without additional repairs my luck ran out. I had an oil chang a month ago, but my airbag lite came on so took it to the Myrtle Beach Hyundai. My advisor said it would be a $195 diagonistic fee, but all was free. My advisor left early. My 2012 Sonata SEL with 72,662 miles and 3 hrs later after 5pm, another advisor checked me out stating they are a lot of major things wrong with my car and my advisor will call me on it, he didn't want to get involved, but he said the car is ok to drive over highway 31 to NC. 2 days later I finally talked with my advisor at closing Friday nite, telling my my car is at risk of driving and may need to be towed in. I shouldn't drive to an event that nite, telling me the valor &timing cover is leaking oil, cv axile is leaking grease, lower control arm bushing &lower ball joint are cracked and torn, cabin and engine filters needed. I was very concerned with this conflicting information. So Sat, I called for anyone that would answer, but was told to wait for the service manager Monday. Monday AM he called we had a nice talk, he looked at the tech's and advisor's notes and assured me that I could drive to Missouri and back w/o a problem, he promised, another conflict. My advisor said that she had been in contact with car shield service for me and told me to drop off my car and car shield would give me a rental, just call them. Wrong, I called car shield to rent and they said that I need a claim number, conferenced hyundai advisor with car shield and the advisor was silent, when car shield said that she is incorrect. I called car shield again to get a status of hyundai advisors progress since my hyundai advisor was evasive with me on what was happening after 2 weeks. Car Shield informed me that Hyundai has never called. A new car saleman called telling me to bring my title to trade my car in on a new car, without a conersation with me, wow. Took my car to local mechanics for a overall check and nothing is wrong. A hyundai new salesman text me the last couple of days, really. If you have a good product, you shouldn't have to rip seniors off to serve your needs. The service manager, his team and new carsales team are all involved, I feel. Are they this hard up that they have to go back to the used car saleman attitude, ripping off seniors? What is Myrtle Beach Hyundai service coming too? Customers be aware.......6 months ago I was told I needed a new oil pan($500)purchased, but did I really?....... I am disappointed after being a loyal customer for 4 years.
