My salesperson Josh Mapps was awesome. - tomschmalz
My salesperson Josh Mapps was awesome. He listened to me on the type of vehicle I was looking, found it on the lot, and did an excellent job of explaining all the features of my new Santa Fe and selling me the vehicle. Josh walked me through the application process and selling the car. The only reason I gave the dealership four stars instead of 5 stars was because of the sales manager. Josh Mapps did an excellent job explaining to me the advantage of the extended warranty and gap insurance. After careful consideration I decided not to go with the additional coverage. After a few minutes the sale manager came by and said he had to send Josh Mapps out on an errand. I thought this was weird because we were in the process of buying a $45,000 vehicle (but it is what it is). The sales manager tried to sell me the additional coverage. I once again told the sales manager I was not interested in the additional coverage. The sales manager left and a third person (who did not identify himself) came by the desk and tried to sale me the additional coverage. At this point I was getting frustrated and stated that I will just buy the car another time. After making that statement my salesperson returned from his errand, and I finish buying the car.
I am 65 years old and have been buying new vehicle my entire adult life. I have an excellent credit score and easily qualified for the financing of 60 months
interest free. It just really gave me a sour taste of the dealership when I felt like I wasn't being heard and what I consider as pressure tactics on me to buy something I clearly stated that I didn't want.
Thank you for reading my review.
