- G

Mario Sosnowski is the classic “used car salesman.” Not only is he a snake, but he is an unprofessional one. He offered me a terrible deal on trade-in, I said fine as I wanted the new car. Essentially, he told me my money wasn’t good enough because I couldn’t come until the next day and he had someone else looking at it later that evening. I was willing to PAY IN FULL SIGHT UNSEEN and he told me I should look elsewhere. Classic car salesman, entitled and unintelligent...

Sorry, corrected the errors since it will take more than a day for you to get over on missing of one of the Best out of state deals that also could’ve been the 4th out of state purchase for you that just didn’t go the way you were hoping. Hope you have a wonderful day it’s OK you’ll find another deal for sure that you will be happy just won’t be with us for sure which we accepted hope you do the same to accept reality*****

Again, how many times we have to tell you that multiple deals were working on the nice low miles per-owned Black / Black 2017 Focus RS. We have talked & communicated with all of you that were all interested in buying that Hot Car. Long story short, vehicle was Sold & Delivered to our Happy & completely Satisfied customer. We totally understand that you’re so sad & upset on missing a deal with us on that vehicle that you probably still couldn’t find anywhere at the moment that’s why you just can’t let go. You’re letting other people know about your stories & we surely want other people know our side of stories. Hope one of these days that you will find the inner peace in your heart it’s not healthy to stay mad & sad for things that didn’t work out*****

Aug 24, 2020

G responded

So if "the vehicle was going to be sold" why would you even offer me a trade-in deal? That I accepted? Why even engage in the process of deal, then offering me a deal, if you had someone else going to buy? Don't you see how dense you look?

Aug 24, 2020

Golf Mill Ford responded

Told you that we have a lot of out of state customers & we delivered & shipped several vehicles out of state for sure. The thing that you’re having a hard time accepting & understanding is the vehicle was going to be sold & will not be able to sell it to you because you were not present at the time, if you were in our shoe what will you do better. We’re replying to you since you won’t find a peace in your heart & mind & it’s sad that you can’t let go that you just simply missed out on our Special deal on that low miles Black / Black 2017 Focus RS. You can choose to were you purchase your vehicle & simply we have the right to choose whom to sell our vehicle it just end up not to be you*****

Aug 24, 2020

G responded

If in 2020 you don’t know how to sell a vehicle electronically then you’re just behind the times (I've purchased 3 vehicles out of state)...and I'm clearly not the "only" person who believes this otherwise you wouldn't being taking time out of your day to reply to me. You are going out of your way to maintain a facade of your dealership when in reality you guys lied backed out of a deal you offered me. Even the salesman who I was working with (Vincent Polo) said Mario and Muhammad were dishonest and actively lying because they would prefer to sell a vehicle to a repeat customer.

Aug 24, 2020

Golf Mill Ford responded

Of course you’re not Angry using the F word. We’re stupid & dishonest only in your book & surely not to hundreds & thousands of our Happy & Completely Satisfied customers local & our of states. How can we sell you the vehicle over the phone? We told you that we have local customers that are also buying the vehicle the same day & trying to save you the trip for nothing, who’s dishonest then? Those other customers that missed out on this Great deal that you won’t let go are all in peace, but of course you can’t stop thinking about it & most likely will not find a similar deal that’s why you’re feeling this way. Again, we still wish you best of Luck & hope you find peace in your self to have a good day when you wake up in the morning & when you sleep at night...

Aug 24, 2020

G responded

The fact of the matter is I offered to buy the vehicle at the price it was listed with no deposit so all your consistent replies show is how stupid you guys really are there. It has nothing to do with being angry, it’s letting other potential buyers know how dishonest you guys are there and what they’ll have to deal with.

Aug 24, 2020

Golf Mill Ford responded

Mr Gavin Murphy, What was dishonest about letting you know that nice pre-owned low miles 2017 Black / Black Focus RS was a hot vehicle that everyone in local & out of state customers like you had called & emailed our dealership & was trying to do the same like you offering to put deposit when we can't do due to other customers that were here ready to purchase, we didn't want you to come all the way & find out vehicle has been sold & we can't find a replacement or similar to it, that will definitely make you more Angry which will be more acceptable & reasonable for you to give us your negative feedbacks, believe it or not other customers that called & emailed us was OK when we told them the vehicle status & let it go hoping they can find a deal like it at other dealership, but you won't accept the facts & so mad & wouldn't move on, with the things happening around us its better to be at peace & not to keep hate in you. Again, we wish you to get the best deal on your next vehicle purchased...

Aug 22, 2020

G responded

The problem with you guys at Golf Mill Ford is you're just dishonest. Again, go back to the facts. Yes, I was unhappy with the value you gave me on my trade-in but I ultimately said I would do it and you said I can only have the new car if someone else doesn't buy it. (???) Then, I said I will buy the new car outright with no deposit, no trade-in and sight unseen. The fact that you guys are just completely unable to be logical about something just illustrates why you're selling cars.

That’s interesting...I called and said I wanted to go through with WHAT YOU OFFERED ME! You said no! Are you dense? And I said I would pay the full retail price that it’s listed for sight unseen, no deposit, no trade in.

Mr Murphy first we would like to apologize because you feel that way . We are Illinois largest volume store 13 years running and also President's Award winner for customer satisfaction in 2019 so there is something that we doing right. Mr Murphy you just simply don't want to accept the fact that your vehicle wasn't worth what you were expecting for it . Also as mention on the phone we have two more local customers that were interested in this vehicle and both have scheduled appointment's this evening for a test drive -and that's why simply we don't accept deposits on pre-owned vehicles . If there is anything else that we can help with please don't hesitate to reach out to us . Thank you .

"I inquired online about a Black 2020 Explorer they had..."

- 1cdstorm

I inquired online about a Black 2020 Explorer they had posted on their website for $51,200 with 5 miles on it and a production date of Dec. 2019. The price was about $9,000 less then the MSRP and $3,000 less than the same vehicle at other dealerships nearby. I was contacted shortly after by Jackie Swiatek (Business Development Staff) who asked when I could stop by, however I live near Green Bay WI, so it’s quite a trek to go take a look at the vehicle. So while texting Jackie I ask specifically is the price going to change since I’m a Wisconsin resident buying in Illinois and if the mileage is truly 5 miles or if it’s been test driven a lot. She said it’ll stay the same price and it’s fresh off the truck at 5 miles driven. Both ended up being lies and in the future I’ll be speaking directly to a salesman. I’d rate Jackie a 1 out of 5 for lying to get me into the store and wasting my time in the process even though I ended up buying the car at Golf Mill Ford. Once I made an appointment to show up, I headed down in the morning on a Thursday. They knew I’d be showing up around 11am. When we got to the dealership my salesman Muhammad Pirzada made contact and I informed him I had a appointment with Jackie, however Jackie is not a saleswoman but a Business Development person. He grabs her from the back does a introduction to my salesman and leaves us. So he grabs the keys and says I’ll pull it around for you. I asked can I walk with you to get it and he has no problems with it. We get out to the lot and the Black Explorer is sitting there with white road salt all over it and has 158 miles on the odometer. So it’s been driven a pretty good amount for a 1 month old car. It was at this point he said get in the passenger seat and I’ll wash it yeah? I should’ve said no, the next thing I almost couldn’t believe, it was a contact/soft touch car wash. The ones with spinning mops that strike the body putting lots of fine scratches in the clear coat. He turned the wheel over to me and we took if for a test drive on the freeway and the city streets. It was exactly what I wanted features and all. We get back to the sales floor to start negotiations and he informs me that because it’s a sale being made in Illinois but the vehicle will be titled in Wisconsin that the price is not going to be as it was advertised online as the Area/Zone Incentives that ford offers are different depending on what part of the country you’re from, I guess. He said the best price he’ll be able to do for me is 54,900 which is nearly 4,000 more than the listed online price. I’m already down there and know I’m getting this car at a dealership so might as well be here and now. I say can you come down to 53,900 which another Explorer at another dealer in Madison had it listed for 54,200. We shook on it and talked to the finance manager Jon Kreatsoulas. Who was a great to work with despite making one of the extended service warranties expire at a 50,000 mile mark or 7 years whichever comes first, I should’ve raised it to 75,000 or higher just to be safe but he said I don’t drive that much anyway taking a figure from an possibly unreliable car I was driving. But I was also dealing with getting insurance figured out at the same time and I hadn’t eaten anything all day, now about 2:30pm but that’s on me and my mistake. He also slipped a form in there for Glass Etching Insurance, it’s pure profit for the dealership, I refused to sign for the charges of $400 and was informed by him that the price is built into the sale and if I don’t sign the paper the charge stays on and they just won’t file the serial number with that claims company. So I signed it. For his part Jon gets 4 stars, while being nice to talk to he didn’t work for what’s in my best interest and the etching charge is pretty shady in my opinion. After the contract was signed I took delivery right after. Muhammad went through a few more features of the car and looked for the Door Access Code which is on a little card that’s usually in the glove box so you can use the numbers on the door to gain entry to the car if you don’t have keys or your phone to unlock the doors. He said the systems guy is on vacation and he’ll get the code on Saturday (initially but on a later call said he meant Monday) from him. So I left and drove home, but later that weekend on Saturday. I called and said “no there’s has to be a way to retrieve the code.” He said I could bring it to a local dealer for a diagnostic charge or maybe wait til Monday to try and access the code in the database. A few calls later that same night and he calls with a solution a coworker must have told him to do which uses both fobs. It worked. Frustrating that it was so simple but he didn’t know how to do it in the first place. For Muhammad he was fun to talk to and friendly but the fact that he didn’t know about some of the features and ways to access information on the cars he’s selling he loses a star. As for the dealership itself, it gets a 3 out of 5 from me. Honestly I won’t be back, a old looking car wash that honestly shouldn’t even be used on new cars, to the blatant lying in online prices to get you into the dealership, to the salespeople who don’t know what they’re talking about or how to resolve problems, like a missing security door code without causing lots of stress and then finally finding out it’s so easy to get the information from within the car itself after numerous calls. As for the car itself I rate it 5 out of 5 since it’s exactly what I was looking for and it’s a blast to drive. That’s the most important thing here though.

"Bought a truck from this guy and he assured me it all..."

- Snowbrdr6272

Bought a truck from this guy and he assured me it all works including air conditioning. He said go ahead and try it knowing it was sitting outside in the winter. All vehicles blow cold air in the winter. He guaranteed if it didnt work come warmer weather that they would repair it at no cost. Needless to say he did not honor this and I had to pay out of pocket for the repairs. Although the service department gave me a slight discount on this repair due to my complaints. It was like pulling teeth. Watch out this man is dishonest and not trust worthy.
