This is my second time visiting Criswell Nissan and both times Jose Alvarez has went out of his way to help me and answer my questions. Crystal helped as well because I had set up this appointment via online and she is who was handling the actual appointment but, Jose really helped ease my mind and even had the technician ride along with me for 10 minutes to locate any noises. I come from a family of GM people (in Service) and I like the people here at Criswell and how helpful they are and kind. From the service dept. to shuttle service all just wonderful!

The consumer and shopper that I am shopped other dealerships to see if they could match the price so that I would not have to go up to Silver Spring and higher a baby sitter. Well after talking to other dealerships in my area they said they would match but then when I showed up with the check they kept on adding $300 here for cross bars, $200 here for floor mats and then we were over our budget. This whole time I was talking with Joe over the phone and email saying I am still interested if he can get the car. He said that the original car we were looking at on their lot was sold to a dealership in Delaware but, he could get the exact same car from a local dealership in PA for the same price. I thought... what? Usually when they dealerships get cars from other dealers, the price will be more because they have to trade or work with the other dealer. Joe said nope, same price. I did not believe him since I had sour experiences thus far with salesmen.
They ordered the car form the dealership in PA on Thurs afternoon and it got to the dealership at 6pm on Friday, perfect timing. They also detailed it, make sure it was up to service and filled it with a full tank of gas. Exactly what I wanted.
This is when Joe went the extra mile for me. He took pictures of the sales order and the final price he mentioned. He also had the sales manager sign off on it stating that they are good with the price! My wife and I were excited and got a baby sitter so we could drive up Friday night to pick up the car. When we got there we saw the car and it was exactly like Joe said. We test drove the car and Joe was showing me the features and the informing me about the car.
We had to wait about 1.5 hours to get in the finance guy but that was not a big deal. It was the last day of the month at 9pm at night, we knew we would have to wait. The dealership was very clean and had a big TV with satellite so we enjoyed that while we waited. Joe was so awesome that I asked him if he had change for a $20 that I had to get a drink and a snack for my wife. Joe actually went into his office, got us a soda and some food and gave me $2 for the vending machine! Who does that? It was awesome.
While we were waiting we spoke with the sales manger and he was as nice as he could be. He made sure we were comfortable and let us know that it was busy since it was the end of the month. While we were waiting, Joe pulled the car around into the heated service area and ran through paring up our phones to the Bluetooth and showing my wife and me features on the car. This was going the extra mile.
When all said and done, Herb Gordon Nissan was a great experience. They worked with us on price and delivery of the vehicle was fast and non-issues. Joe was a great salesman but also a genuine nice guy. We might have to replace our 2nd car come 2 or 3 years from now and we will be sure to reach out to Herb Gordon and Joe again, such a painless process when I went with this dealership.
