TreverThompson was a fantastic salesperson that combined a no pressure sales approach with customer service that went well above and beyond my standards. I stopped by Glockner while driving home from out of town with an idea of the type of vehicle I wanted. Trever and the Glockner team immediately worked to understand my wants and needs as to find the vehicle best suited for my needs. After finding a vehicle that I liked, they immediately gave me keys to take it for a test drive on my own. There was no high pressure tactics and I felt that I could walk away at any time without worry. Upon my arrival back at the dealership, we ran numbers and decided on the right payment and price. During this time, many people stopped say hello and there was a jovial vibe around the dealership. Since I was I was trading in my Jeep and still needed to retrieve person items from it, I requested to return to pick up the Chevy Colorado the next day. This request was met with a happy "absolutely" and Mr. Thompson even promised to have the vehicle fully detailed (even though I didn't think it was needed) and to have it waiting for me in the garage when I arrived. The next day, as promised, when I returned to the dealership, the truck was fully detailed and in the garage waiting for me to drive it home. Mr. Thompson then spent extra time fully explaining the options and interior functions and how I access and use them. I realize many of you believe these are things that a dealership should do for their customers, however, in the several vehicle purchases hat I made from dealers, these things were often promised but never delivered upon. Mr. Thompson was extraordinarily thorough in every aspect of the purchase process and was more than willing to answer any and all questions that I asked. After the sale was finalized, Mr. Thompson has followed up the sale to make sure I haven't had any issues or problems from my new vehicle. I give my highest recommendation for Glockner Portsmouth and Trever Thompson and recommend you see them for your next vehicle purchase. In my opinion, the customer service and the ease of buying are unmatched from my experience. I rate both the dealership and Trever Thompson as five (5) stars. I now understand why Mr. Thompson is known as the Portsmouth Car Guru.

Twice I have found a premium used car here, first a Cadillac SRX about 7 years ago and more recently a Porsche. Both were exceptionally clean and sound vehicles, obviously closed carefully.
Patrick and Brad were my contacts. Both were very honest about what they knew, and what they did not know. Germain is not a Porsche dealer, after all. The Car Fax provided is very helpful, as the servicing dealer for the last 5 years is very close.
I chose to finance and Tyler made that process very easy.

I have to give the folks here credit where it's due. Had a good buying experience with them. Vehicle pictures online were a fair representation of the condition of the vehicle and didn't try to gloss over dings and scratches. Salesman was helpful and straightforward. Pricing was right for the condition of the truck, too. Quickly settled on a fair price and got the paperwork in order.
Less than a week after I got the truck, we felt a slight vibration at low speeds. Took it in and they did what they needed to do to make a decent diagnosis, even taking it to another dealer for a second opinion. They ended up replacing the transmission. They went way beyond the warranty that came with the sale. We really only felt the vibration maybe 10-20% of the time I drove it, so it would have been easy to miss in an inspection and test drive. They also could have denied the issue, but did the right thing and found a good used transmission with less miles than the truck. They had a courtesy car ready to go as well. Truck is running smooth now and I am happy. Even when I was not pleasant to deal with, they were always polite.
The true test of customer service is when things go bad. They passed with flying colors.

I'm not too impressed with this dealership. The car selection is small, the prices are big, and the service is mediocre. I did not buy a vehicle from this dealership, and my time was definitely wasted. The vibe in general was dismal and sub par in my humble opinion.
Concerned with honesty - Unsafe condition
Dealership alleged car was fixed. It wasn't. Brought it back. They released it saying car was fixed. It wasn't. GM Tom told us there was nothing he could do. He swore in front of us and others saying he didn't have to put up with this crap when we questioned the practices.

Purchased 2016 Malibu JAN 2016, Found body issues that are from factory build. .Offer- Body shop. No, We purchased new vehicle that should be free of any body damages. Offer- Accessories. No, What accessory will cover up any body damage? NONE... I will NEVER recommend this so called auto sales to anyone. They LIE to customers, They will not return phone calls after the first if it pertains to a problem with the vehicle you purchased. Contacted BBB and GM pertaining to this matter. Still nothing done by coughlin. I will only settle for buy back of my vehicle and not trade in value. They will screw you in any way shape or form.... Al Coughlin himself will not return phone calls after complaint was made directly to him...

Bought a 2011 Silverado along with a warranty in January, nicest staff you'll meet on the day of sale.
6 months later my sunroof goes all ape and the warranty wouldn't cover that, was calling them trying to check my options as far as a warranty upgrade and all of a sudden they are nonexistent, they're the dealer car buyers warn you about

By far our best experience in 43 years buying a car from a dealership. Rob Sanders was our salesman. Rob was professional, friendly and courteous. He did not pressure us to buy the extras and came back with a fair trade in. We were treated well by all of the sales staff and would definitely buy from them again.

After negotiating the deal with the sales consultant, I began my journey into the customer service downward spiral. The finance manager was very deceptive about the extended service contract so buyer beware. Check your paper work for the cost and the length of the contract. I had to escalate my issue to get it resolved. After it was all said and done, the sales manager came to the rescue and got it right. Very bad customer experience and no concessions were made to me after the dealership's mistakes. If it was an honest mistake, I wouldn't be as critical but this was flat out deception. They push the service contract, offer you a great deal on it, and then change the numbers in the final deal. Very shady.
