I would strongly caution anyone considering buying from Malcolm Cunningham Chevrolet unless you are there in person and can thoroughly inspect the vehicle yourself before signing anything.
The vehicle I purchased was described as being in excellent condition—essentially “mint.” Based on those representations I completed the purchase and drove nearly two hours to meet the salesperson and take delivery. Unfortunately, once I arrived and inspected the vehicle more closely, I discovered several issues that were never disclosed beforehand, even after I specifically asked both the salesperson and the used car manager/director about the condition several times.
The vehicle was missing part of the lower front spoiler, had a broken license plate bracket, and the passenger window is misaligned. These are obvious defects that should have been disclosed upfront.
What made the experience even worse was the dealership’s complete refusal to do anything to help resolve the situation. I was even willing to split the cost of replacing the missing front bumper/spoiler part, but they still refused to work with me in any way. I was told by my salesperson that I would be refunded the cost of the license plate bracket and sent over the requested paid invoice but over 3 weeks later I have yet to receive a refund for it's cost of $81.94.
To make matters more concerning, they also charged me a Georgia ELT fee even though the vehicle was being tagged out of the state of Georgia . That $197.99 fee was not forwarded to my home state as a tag fee, which raises even more questions about their practices.
Overall, this was a very disappointing and frustrating experience. If you choose to buy from this dealership, do not rely on their descriptions or verbal assurances—their word was meaningless in my experience.
