DCH Wappingers Falls Toyota - Service Center

Brought my 2024 toyota Rav 4 Hybrid in for a 5000 mile service and also asked for a engine oil change and filter. This vehicle calls for 0-16 motor oil as per the owners manual and the engine compartment. service and also asked for a engine oil change and filter. It stated the car was a Highlander and the oil was replaced with 0-20 weight oil. I called the service department but all service personnel was busy and couldn't take my call so I drove back to the dealership. Explained my concern, the service person was very nice and said she had made an error on the model. She also said 0-20 weight oil can be used in place of 0-16. I told her the manual and toyota on the internet states that 0-20 can be used in place of 0-16 only if 0-16 is not available, and if it is used it should be replaced as soon as possible with 0-16 weight. She told me the oil will be changed and the correct oil put in. As this is a fairly new vehicle with approx 5800 miles on it and being a hybrid vehicle I wanted the correct oil put in especially since I bought the vehicle it's not a lease. However the mistakes were corrected in a timely manner. I'm sure a toyota dealership that sells Rav 4 Hybrids has the correct oil for it. More
