Difficulty in getting service Endless problems with 2017 Chevy Volt have led to multiple service appts. On this particular day, car making grinding g sounds on starting. Check engine light came on, plus message “Reduced Propulsion.” Called De Nooyer. Only appt offered was a week away—completely unacceptable. This is our only vehicle. My husband is a handicapped veteran—reliable transportation is essential. My son got on the phone—finally given a same day appt. Had to have car towed 50 miles to Albany. Dealer said there were no loaners. This wasn’t true as, when I got there, I was given choice of loaners. Next day’s verdict was that rodents had chewed wiring. Found this hard to believe as car is in constant use—I should have asked for evidence. Bottom line was a bill of close to $500. Asked to speak to salesperson with goal of unloading this endlessly troublesome car. Waited in dealership for close to two hours to no avail. Left. Came back next day and spoke with Dave Mattice who gave me payoff number of approx $5,000. In retrospect, should have asked to speak to a sales manager. GM and DeNooyer clearly do not care about customer satisfaction and I cannot wait to get rid of this car—just look at the abysmal service record. More

20 years of great service It happens that back in 1999 I bought my first Chevrolet from Denooyer, which means I've been going there for 20 years. (I bought that car in July, s It happens that back in 1999 I bought my first Chevrolet from Denooyer, which means I've been going there for 20 years. (I bought that car in July, so I guess it's more like 19.5 years). I've always been happy with the service I've received there. I'm afraid that I am really bad at remembering names (anyone's names, anywhere, in any setting), but I've dealt with many people there and haven't had any problems. This time I was there for an oil change, to get switch the car to winter tires, and to have the tire-pressure sensor in one tire replaced. I can say that all of those service items were done, and that the car has lasted fine for the 24 hours since their service department. Personally I think we're all getting a little obsessed with reviewing people's work. That's why I wrote about my experience over the last 20 years of service, because 24 hours is not really enough time to rate how well *this* service trip went! More
