I was disappointed with my experience purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. Before completing the purchase, I specifically asked about the out-the-door price because I wanted to understand exactl vehicle from this dealership. Despite asking about this, additional dealer and registration fees were added, which made the pricing feel less transparent than I expected. I also discovered a few weeks after purchasing the vehicle that it did not come with floor mats. I reached out to the dealership a couple of months later, hoping they could provide the mats that I expected to be included with the vehicle. Instead, I was told that I could purchase them from the dealership. Overall, the experience left me feeling that there was a lack of transparency during the purchase and a lack of willingness to address the issue afterward. I would encourage anyone considering purchasing from this dealership to carefully review all fees and confirm exactly what is included with the vehicle before finalizing the deal. I would strongly caution anyone considering buying a vehicle from Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk. I purchased a 2018 Honda Accord Sport for approximately $24,000. Just seven days after taking it home, vehicle from Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk. I purchased a 2018 Honda Accord Sport for approximately $24,000. Just seven days after taking it home, the car suddenly shut off while I was driving, and every warning light on the dashboard came on. The vehicle had to be towed back to the dealership, where I was told it needed a head gasket. They replaced it under my warranty, but I was without my car for a month and a half after owning it for only a week. A few months later, the exact same problem happened again. Once again, I was told it was the head gasket, and they replaced it under warranty. At that point, I asked if they could replace the engine instead because it was clear something more serious might be causing the repeated failures. I was told that replacing the engine was not necessary. Unfortunately, the same issue happened a third time. Once again, the dealership replaced the head gasket under warranty instead of addressing the underlying problem. Now, over a year later, the exact same issue has happened for a fourth time. The difference is that my warranty has expired. This time, the dealership is finally telling me they recommend replacing the engine because they "don't know what's causing the head gasket to keep failing." Ironically, this is exactly what I asked them to do from the beginning, but now they want me to pay $8,000 out of pocket for a used engine with 65,000 miles on it. From my experience, I feel the dealer knew from the beginning it was the motor and repeated temporary repairs only until my warranty expired. I trusted the dealership's recommendations, and now I'm left with an enormous repair bill for an issue I raised long ago. If you're shopping for a vehicle, I recommend thinking carefully before purchasing from this dealership. My experience has been incredibly frustrating, all the back and forth with lack of communication on their end. I wouldn't want someone else to go through what I've been dealing with! More
