I have to admit that I would have driven my 2006 Honda Odyssey EXL (also purchased from Herb Chambers Seekonk) until it literally needed to be buried. This is because I LOVED my Odyssey and because I despise the stress of purchasing a car. It doesn’t help that I can be painfully particular. So late one Saturday we stopped by Herb Chambers Honda Seekonk just to peruse the 2016 Pilots as my research determined this could be the vehicle to replace my Odyssey. Rancier Matos came to see if we had any questions or if he could offer any assistance. I usually get panicky when a sales person approaches but Rancier was so approachable and not at all ‘sales pushy’. Mind you it was closing time on a Saturday night yet Rancier was so patient and helpful, even when we decided to take a test drive. As we left the dealership that night I told Rancier that if we decided to purchase a Honda that I would only purchase one from him because he was so honest and helpful…within a week, that’s exactly what we did. Rancier made our experience amazingly stress-free and he made us feel so completely confident in our purchase. He walked us through the entire process and answered every question and handled every concern we had so professionally. (Thank you Bill for all your financing information also.) Rancier actually went above our expectations to make sure everything with our new Pilot was totally perfect and he made sure that we knew everything we needed to know about the vehicle. However, working with David High at Herb Chambers Honda made my experience easy, personal, and anything but stressful. I was in a bind, and needed a car fast. David was sure to figure out exactly what I wanted, needed, and liked. He gave me a couple choices on cars, all of which were great deals. Once I made my decision, David helped me figure out the car in itself, made sure I was comfortable, how to operate it, and even took the time to go through all of the bells and whistles. He also helped me get into a comfortable zone financially, which is so important to me. David got everything done in just a few short days and I had my car by the end of the week. Well, with the advent of online car shopping, I found the experience to be easier. I've been looking at the particular car for a while and Herb Chambers really had competitive prices (I did find similar comps for a few thousand less, but the convenience of location was worth it.. I am picking up a used Mercedes SUV tomorrow and am excited for it. Their 5 day no hassle money back guarantee is great, so people can get their car inspected if they need an unbiased opinion. After I pick it up, they do not handle anything else, which I wish they did. If there is an issue, I would go to a mercedes dealer (Obviously, if I bought a honda, they would service me). I am not sure if the extended warranty is worth it, but the finance director was not hassle free and gave me options. My sales rep was Tracy Zhao. I cannot tell you how impressed I am with the follow-up this woman has. Although she has just been in the car business for 3 months, she truly was genuine, caring, nice and not fake. It was almost like I was buying a car from a friend. I didn't feel hassled. The car I wanted was off lot and I was eager to see it because I wasn't sure if the interior met my needs. Well, Tracy called the facility it was at and requested pictures and sent them to me via text (SO easy and my preferred method during the day). Then when the car arrived, she alerted me and I wasn't going to be able to go that night, but she mentioned they couldn't hold it, so I changed my plans (PPAC show) and she waited for me (10+ hour day for her). We drove, negotiated a little, did a trade-in, and I committed to the purchase. The entire team was helpful. We were there AFTER close, and I didn't feel pressured at all (I know they all wanted to get home, of course!). Scott, the manager, Adriel, Emilio and Jose all answered all my questions and went above for my trade-in and my small requests I had. I would certainly recommend people doing their due-diligence on the car they want and if Herb Chambers has it, go see Tracy!! More
