Engine Head Gasket Blown...Not I begin to visit this location after the location I had a solid rapport with closed without warning. The service here is OK at best. My last & final I begin to visit this location after the location I had a solid rapport with closed without warning. The service here is OK at best. My last & final visit happened when I took my car in because the check engine light was flashing. The car was making a loud noise that would come & go and also idling rough. My fiance' opened the hood & there was blue colored liquid sprayed on top of the engine. After about a week of still driving my car, I had time to drop it off. I told Brittiany, the service rep, what occurred. About 10minutes after I left, she called me to reconfirm the series of events. We hung up & she called back less than 5 minutes & told me my engine blew a gasket. She told me I could come pick my car up & they wouldnt charge the diagnostic fee. She also stated if I need any assistance finding another car, they have certified used cars because fixing a blown head gasket would cost more than my car was worth. I told my fiance' what I was told & he wasnt convinced being I had driven my car for about a week before dropping it off plus it displayed no symptoms of a blown gasket. My fiance' has a dedicated mechanic who works on his tow trucks & he offered to look at my car. Needless my car did not have a blown gasket. My coolant system, harmonic balancer, alternator belt & timing belt were replaced. My car is running smooth & quiet again. It has been a little over a month when this happened. Please note, this is the first time I have ever allowed a mechanic shop outside of Acura to work on my car since I brought it brand new in 2005. Needless to say, I have found a reliable mechanic who doesnt charge dealership prices & the work is A-1. The vibe I got from the service reps here is that they dont treasure the older model cars which is unfortunate because I take pride in caring for my car. Everyone isnt in the market for a brand new car. More
