Background: We decided we wanted to look at a Bronco Sport. The nearest Ford Dealer (Spitzer) is about 2 miles from our home. We went and test drove an Outer Banks model, and wanted to buy it on the spo Sport. The nearest Ford Dealer (Spitzer) is about 2 miles from our home. We went and test drove an Outer Banks model, and wanted to buy it on the spot. It was a demonstration model that had 2,000 miles on it, but we were not concerned with that. We started the paperwork, ran the credit check, and ready to put down our deposit, when we were informed that Ford would not sell us the vehicle until it had 4,000m miles on it. They did not have another on the lot, so they would call when they found what we were looking for. Never heard from Spitzer Ford again. Two weeks later I spoke with Rob Simon, from Klaben Ford, over the phone. When I told him what I was looking for, he said that they did not have that hard-to-find model in stock, but immediately mentioned we could Special Order the Bronco Sport, and get exactly what we wanted. Amazing Idea! I went to see him that day and ordered our Outer Banks exactly the way we wanted it! Because of the pandemic, chip shortage, and other supply chain issues, it took over 7 months to take delivery of out Bronco Sport. Rob kept us up to date, and always returned our calls or emails within moments! During our inspection at delivery, we noticed what appeared to be a small chip in the clear coat, and he immediately brought the Body Shop manager to look. Within minutes, Problem, Solution, Solved! Before we left the Dealership, Rob even helped me schedule my first oil change! (Actually, he only asked when was good for me, and in a moment “Ding” I get a notification that I’m scheduled! I didn’t have to lift a finger or go into service to set anything up.) Who thinks about oil changes when you get a new car??? Not ME!!! We really appreciated this attention to detail! Rob and Klaben Ford gave me the Best Customer Service I have ever had in my 38 years of purchasing vehicles from dealerships! Not only was Rob courteous and professional, he actually listened to me and offered a solution to my issue that I didn’t think of! And yes! I will wave to Spitzer Ford as I drive several miles past them to have all of my sales and service needs taken care of at Klaben Ford. Did I mention that Spitzer has never contacted me again...? More
