OUR HISTORY Walt DeBoer founded Lithia Motors in 1946 as a Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge dealership in Ashland, Oregon. Following Walt’s death in 1968, Walt’s son Sid along with Dick Heimann, grew the business to include 5 stores and 19 franchises in Southern Oregon. In December 1996, this collection of dealerships was transformed into Lithia Motors, Inc., a publicly traded company (NYSE stock symbol-LAD). We envisioned a company that would continuously grow, provide great customer service, and opportunities for employees. TODAY Lithia is one of America’s largest automotive retailers featuring most domestic and import franchises. Our stores serve urban and rural populations throughout the Western and Midwest United States. We are focused on providing customers with an honest and simpler buying and service experience. We are giving customers straightforward information so that they can make confident decisions. We believe that our local communities are our lifeblood. I purchased my vehicle on 6/25 and noticed it had a minor issue with the dashboard. My sales man said he would have this fixed when I picked up my car a few days later. When I picked up the vehicle, it was still it fixed. My salesman said he would have service order the part and they would get back to me in a day or two. Since then my salesman stopped responding, found out he no longer works there and no one has responded to my various calls. Everyone keeps telling me they will have someone call me back and I never get a call back. I end up calling and repeating the process over a month after this was supposed to be completed.
