I bought a Nissan Murano in 2018. Every time I have taken my car in, I have gotten excellent customer service. Honest, reliable, fairly priced and considerate. Jose in the service department was exceptional. They have never tried to sell me on unnecessary services, they simply and clearly explain what is recommended and go out of their way to be helpful and efficient. I would highly recommend their service department.

I told the service advisor (name: Kozak) that the problem with my car was the shock absorber. I asked that he first check if it is under warranty before doing anything. He made me sign a form. I waited 5hrs so i thought he was already fixing the shock absorber and that it’s under warranty. I was surprised when he came back to tell me that the problem was the shock absorber, and it is not under warranty and i have to pay the diagnostic fee! I told him from the start that that was the problem and foe him to check if it is under warranty. I asked to speak with the manager who said that i have to pay or they will not release my car. THIS WAS CLEARLY A HIGHWAY ROBBERY! Beware and don’t let them nickel & dime you!

If there was a way to give NEGATIVE stars I definitely would!!!! This dealership doesn't deserve 1 single star. After endless phone calls trying to get everything figured out before we would have to drive almost 3 hours one way (out of state). The night before we had the financing figured out, vehicle picked out and we were told it would be cleaned and ready for us to sign for the paperwork and leave 20-30 minutes tops once we arrived. Well, 45 minutes away we confirmed that everything is still in place and to ask for our salesman once we arrived. When we arrived the vehicle was "magically sold".no body knows how or why it was sold from under us. After spending 2 hours at this dealership we left with no answers, no vehicle and told ehhh, you're near Chicago so just go out to eat. I'm sorry we have a 2 and 3 year old in the car that have been so good and patient.
We wouldn't drive 3 hours one way to go out to dinner. ABSOLUTELY WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! we were told to call back Monday-so like fools we did..nothing has came or been done to resolve this issue. We were promised a gas card...guess what never got that either. Such a joke of a dealership!!!

We bought our vehicle with Anderson Nissan Mazda and decided to try the service there as well. I am so glad we did as the customer service we received was exceptional! On one occasion, my husband and I were 600 plus miles away and were having issues with our vehicle. I called service and spoke to Tyler who asked me a series of questions in response to what our issue was. He was able to give me information that set my mind at ease that what was happening would be very unlikely to cause problems on our trip back to IL. Upon our return to IL, we got the vehicle in and the issue turned out to be exactly what Tyler expected. Thankfully, just as he anticipated, it caused us no concerns on the way home. In addition, each time I set an appointment for service via the phone (basic maintenance and a recall) and each time I was at the dealership for service, Tyler was always friendly, kind and respectful. My husband and I have since moved from IL and oh how I wish we could have brought the Anderson Nissan Mazda staff with us! We truly appreciate the great service we got from this dealership. I would highly recommend them!
Service Department Dishonest - Ken M
My wife and I have been driving Nissan vehicles for the past 17 years. The vehicles and dealerships had been excellent, until we moved to Illinois and began dealing with Auffenberg Nissan. In early 2019, we took our 2016 Murano (purchased new from Auffenberg) in for routine service and reported that the driver's side seat heater was operating intermittently. Without having either a Mechanic or Technician check out the vehicle, the Service Adviser informed my wife upon vehicle pick-up that they could not duplicate the problem. This was not a complete surprise as the heater had been operating intermittently. The vehicle was within 3000 miles of the warranty expiration at the time. No mention of the problem we reported was included in the final service report, a fact that we didn't pick-up until too late. Well, the seat heater finally failed completely in early January 2020. Obviously we were beyond the warranty by then. When we took the vehicle in for repair, we were told that the vehicle was out-of-warranty and we would have to pay the full repair cost. We informed the (different) Service Adviser that we had reported the problem while the vehicle was still under warranty. Without the previous Service Adviser's mention of the problem in the earlier service report, we had no record of the problem on file. (Very convenient for the Dealership, with only 3000 miles to go on the warranty.) Well, I authorized their Technician to check the seat heater to see what the problem was ($145 Tech charge). The answer came back as a failed seat heater control board that would cost another $1,400 to repair. The total cost would have been $1,545. I did not authorize the repair and chose to call the Service Manager instead. I have never been treated so unprofessionally in my life with the man virtually calling me a liar on several occasions. I called NissanUSA, and they agreed to an 80/20 split - without any haggling. Auffenberg it seems can't do simple math either. They charged me $418 ($145+$273) instead of $309 (20% x $1,545). I can buy a car anywhere. We have all of our vehicles serviced by the Dealerships and see the Service Department Teams regularly. If I can't trust the Service Department, I'll buy elsewhere. Their customer service is really bad. I was told that parts will come in within a week and then a week became weekssss and NO ONE CALL to let us know. We have to call back to find out. When we called, they can't find my order and told me to bring my car back so that they can check on the parts numbers, which they should given that i was there the last time and they looked at my car. Upon my request, they checked again and then FOUND my records and told me that part would take a few MORE WEEKS!!!!!
