This is the third car we have purchased from Capital. Our 2014 CX 5 which was serviced exclusively by Capital was totaled in an accident. We replaced it with a 2028 CX 5 with a higher trim level. After looking at comparable cars from both Mazda and other manufactures, we chose to stay with them since I did not want to haggle for a price. We were able to stay with the salesman who we had worked with when purchasing our 2014 model. We received good information with no pressure and no gimmicks. I asked for and received a turn key price. The process was pleasant and efficient. We also had experienced excellent service on our 2014 model which encouraged us to stick with Capital.

I only give 2 stars because our salesperson, Tommy, was friendly and knowledgeable. I asked for the sale price and financing rate and they wouldn't tell me - they just wanted to know how much I needed the payment to be. Eventually, here comes Vince, the sales manager, to seal the deal. I explained that I was told there was room for negotiation on the price before I drove 1 1/2 hours each way to see the car. His max discount was $400 and I still don't know what the finance rate was. He was rude and abrasive. I used to work with car dealers in my business and I have never seen them so happy as when they got someone to "lay down", meaning that they sold a car for the full sticker price. That was usually older folks and young people who didn't realize they were being taken advantage of. After all, the salesperson's paycheck is based on how much profit they can make on each sale. It's you against them and they are out to take more of your money any way they can. I think it's best to avoid this dealership.

I bought a $33000 car here and I was sold $6500 in add on contracts. I was told that they were accepted at all Mazda dealerships and that I would have nothing out of pocket for maintenance. I found both promises to be false, and to make matters worse these expensive contracts are 3rd party contracts and the contract provider has a terrible reputation on the internet.
That's not all. I sent a certified letter to Momentum requesting a prorated refund for my worthless contracts and they ignored it.
I called for both finance and the GM, naturally you can't get in touch with them.
When you buy a car, you always hope that the dealer will be there for you when you have a problem. Unfortunately, I chose Momentum Mazda and they are useless after you leave the lot.

I called and setup a meeting on Friday to drive a new truck. I called that morning to confirm. I took off of work and drove 1.5 hrs. I arrived and asked for the Mgr Brandon and was told the truck was sold the night before. He could care less what it cost me to get there. He did not bother to even stand up or apologize. He pretty much said it was not his fault. I left and bought a new Ram Truck in Cary.

I have a Mazda CX-5. Bought brand new from this dealership. I have always taken my vehicle to their service department for maintenance. Marshall and crew are outstanding. He always explains the work to me and gets me in and out in a timely manner. My neighbor has a Mazda that was bought in Greensboro and they hate taking their car in for service because, even with an appointment, they are sitting there for hours and the service department is always trying to get them to fix something that does not need fixing. waiting 4 repair 9 weeks & counting - FIXMYKIA!
Brought my Optima in for repair ( needs heater core) the week before Memorial Day; it was there over a week and they never got to it since they only have 1 mechanic who can do the work. I was told they would call me to get it in ..............still waiting today's date 7/19/16. SO WHERE DO I GO TO HAVE MY KIA FIXED??
Worst dealer that I have ever dealt with - Never again Southern States
We purchased a new CX-5 in September of this year. When taking delivery, I found 3 large dents along with scratches on the roof, I didn't understand how the dealer missed this much damage during the detailing but they did. My wife was planning to leave on a trip the next day, and since another identical model was not available, and upon their promise to fix the car when she returned to town, we took the car. This was our first mistake. Actually our first mistake was coming to Southern States originally, but you get my point.
After returning to Raleigh, we took the car to the dealer, with a promise of getting the car back in 2-3 days later. This was the next mistake, believing that we would have our car back in 2-3 days, our car was there for 2 full weeks before getting it back. When I went to pick it up, I found additional damage to a door that was not there when we dropped off the car, along with a run in the paint in an area that was just repaired. Again we had to leave the car, with a promise from the new service manager that he would personally check the repairs before we got it back. I do need to point out that before I left the car the second time, the service manager and I went over the care from end to end, to find any flaws that were missed before, so we could have the car fixed once and for all.
After the dealer keeping the car for another week, I got a phone call on Friday afternoon telling me that I could get the car on Saturday morning, with a promise form the service manager that he would personally check over the car before I got there, to be sure that the repairs were truly completed. After getting to the dealership the next day, when I went to look at the car, I should say that I was surprised to find another flaw in the area that was just repainted, but it honestly didn't surprise me.
And to add insult to injury, there were new scratches around the front door handle, not to mention scuffs on the inside door panels.
And as you know, part of a new car excitement is the new car smell, but after 3 weeks in a body shop, and still not repaired correctly, the car reeks of paint. As you are probably wondering, why I haven't contacted Mazda about this issue.? Well I have, numerous times, and their response is the issue is between me and the dealer. So much for Mazda stepping up.
During all of this time, I have only heard form the General Manager of the dealership once, and that was after I called him, never from the sales manager or the salesman. The service manager has contacted me, telling me to bring the car back, so they can try once again, but I have absolutely no faith in their ability to make this car right. My plan now to to trade this car in, and certainly not on another Mazda, take my loss and learn my lesson to never so to this dealer again or buy another Mazda.
It's really a shame because the CX5 is a nice car, but because of our experience with this dealer, we both hate this car. If I could have could given zero stars, I would have. Save yourself the headache and deal with a reputable dealership and car manufacturer., you won't find either at this dealership or with Mazda.

So in March I purchased a Saturn Sky from this place. The day after I drove it off the lot my tire was flat the rim had rusted out and was allowing air in. I have to replace the rims and that tire. In April my brakes went out and the rotor how is this possible? Another event in April my insurance cards were sent in the mail as my renewal was scheduled, guess what? I didn't even have insurance on my new car????? the day I made the purchase when I asked about the the vin number and other particulars the salesperson said he had already talked to my insurance and I was good to go..... NOT ! I went back to the dealership and everyone treated me like "what's the big deal?" I tried calling the general manger and the owner not one return call. This car has caused me more money in 10 months than I spent on my 2000 Toyota Celica which I drove for over 10 years. thank God I still have it or I would be taking the bus. I am soooo disappointed in the way they have treated me and the fact that I now have a basically useless car. It looks good but it has one problem after the next. I have to have over $600 dollars worth of work done next weekend and that brings the grand total to $2500 in 10 months of repairing a lemon. I would NEVER recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. People ask me about this car everyday because it's a beautiful car and I am more than happy to share the whole pathetic story with them . Trust me I talk to a lot of people and I hope people know that you can and should have any car you are thinking about buying inspected by an independent party. MY BAD
