I bought a used car at the end of February. I could not have asked for anything more. DONNIE, was a tremendously helpful and non-pushy salesperson. He jumped through many hoops to help me out (partially since I was from out of town, and needed him to be my eyes and ears before I drove 4 hours to look at the car). It was the best car-buying experience that I believe I've ever had.
It was no-pressure through sales and finance, and the car I bought was very solid and was fairly priced. The certainly seem to deal in only nicest used cars (1-owner, clean CarFax, etc).
Again, I highly recommend you go to this dealership, and you'd do well to see DONNIE (Simons).

I was in the market to purchase a Chevy Bolt LT 2017, and I wasn't having much luck at the Vancouver/Portland area dealerships salesperson. Other dealerships were not so informed with their products and actually provided misleading information which their numbers were based off of (as noted from my other car dealership review). However, thankfully, I ran into Lukas Simpson a sales representative at Jim Doran Chevrolet Subaru who made it all right.
Lukas was upfront and very informed with everything such as what was currently available, the options the cars had, and any special deals on the car to reach an agreement number. I didn't feel like I was misled at any point during our conversations, so I made the trip from Vancouver, WA to McMinnville with my family hoping to test drive the Bolt and purchase it. Even before arriving at the dealership, Lukas provided helpful reminders (not always obvious or common sense) what to bring if we are hoping to buy i.e trade-in car, keys, documents, etc.
From the second I arrived with my family, he greeted us with a warmly welcome and we cut right into the chase of test driving the Bolt and going from there. I have test driven some cars before, and I appreciate Jim Doran allowing us to actually test drive it more than a few blocks. I was able to go on small highways and go a few miles out to really get a sense of how the Bolt runs in the overall sense.
Getting back to the dealership after the test drive, my family went right into numbers and it was a pleasant experience. There wasn't so much going back and forth type of games, so as a consumer I definitely appreciated that. Lukas was upfront with all the fees included with the price, their discounts and within the next hour I bought the Bolt! I can't speak the prices for all their cars, but I can definitely say I checked within a 100 mile radius and Jim Doran Chevrolet had the best price around and by far too.
In a nutshell, very professional salesperson that is informed and upfront, a pleasant and thorough test drive, car kept clean and charged, and definitely a satisfying negotiation experience. Put all that together and I'm a happy camper. My family and I didn't feel like we wasted our time driving the hour to get to the dealership. I DO recommend purchasing a vehicle at Jim Doran Chevrolet Suburu! If you are in the market for one, definitely give them a visit and see what they can do for you.

So when I purchased this car I addressed many issues. First taillights were painted black,which makes it illegal to drive. Front fender was not attached to number because parts were missing. Yes they did fix all these problems finally but out of the two weeks that I owned the car they had it for 10 days. Then when I picked it up the trunk would not open.called service department and then didn’t have time to look at it. When they changed the third brake light they forgot to plug the electric wire in that releases the latch. Took me ten minutes to fix by utube. Not very happy at this point

I went to Kendall, because my air conditioner was not working and we are relatively new to the Eugene area.... I felt like going to a dealership would be the best route for me. They did a diagnostic test on my car that cost $115. They told me that my AC Compressor was leaking and I needed to replace it... the cost would be $1200!!! They also told me that my brakes were going to need replacing, I thought that was odd, because I had Les Schwab replace them 1 1/2 years ago... I decided to get a second opinion and went to a place that 3 different individuals recommended to me. They told me that they first off didn't even think a diagnostics was done, because there was no dye in my engine, second they said I had a slow leak and they fixed it for $150 and lastly, they checked my brakes they have 80% of their life left...
I can't believe how dishonest this dealership is!! Shame on you!!! I feel like I was totally taken advantage of!!

I have went to Clint Newell several times. They seem to want the money upfront now and you don't even know what your getting? I do believe that they hire low grade mechanics that are not very knowledgeable and they don't pay there employees very well. Unhappy employees=bad service...! I have never worked there but they have no problem taking thousands of dollars from you. So if you want to loose your xxx I highly recommend Clint Newell....I am done with these jokers.

I decided to quit making excuses and finally face the fact that the time had come to do the dreaded deed of car shop!!!! Well it used to be a dreaded deed until fate should have it I stop over at Bruce Chevrolet and meet Gary Valentic..... I must say that I have purchased a number of new vehicles in my time from all different dealerships, and never have enjoyed the experience as a whole until I came to this dealership... Gary made this the easiest experience I've ever had.... Straight forward, no haggle, honest pricing, and none of the typical hidden fees for splash guards, or $ 400 floor mats that I needed to pay for!!!! Just nice friendly, knowledgeable folks at a good honest Dealership!!! Thanks Gary, and thanks Bruce Chevrolet I'll be back for the next one!!!
Deceitful - Deceived
My wife and I traveled 2.5 hours to Madras to consummate a purchase of a pre-owned vehicle. We'd been communicating for days with salesperson Jim Angel and had price, trade-in, etc. determined. Essentially, it was a matter of us looking at the car we wanted to purchase and them looking at our trade-in. If everything checked out, it was a deal.
For some reason, this salesman didn't bother to make sure at least two sets of the key & fob were available - and didn't even mention it until the paperwork was done and we were about to leave. Then, he came up with a story about the second key & fob being at the dealership's owner's (Gary Gruner) house because his wife had been driving this vehicle (yeah, that's a good business practice).
Jim Angel said he'd obtain the key & fob and mail them to us. He never has. He has changed his story re: when he sent them and kept stalling - "Let's wait a little longer to see if they get there." It has been almost 20 days.
He quit responding to our e-mails so we tried the dealership's online e-mail system to see if someone else would assist us. I communicated by e-mail and phone with Kristina Sherwin, the so-called "Certified Internet Manager," who assured me that she'd solve the issue for me. Never heard from her again.
I sent an e-mail to the owner Gary Gruner who apologized for the "run around" and "would personally see to it a new key and fob are sent to you." Yet after several more days, nothing has arrived and now he isn't responding.
I'm not sure how locals are treated, but clearly the people at this dealership figure that screwing out of towners is okay. They probably believe it was a fluke we came 2.5 hours to buy a car from them and are unlikely to be repeat customers. But, maybe this is how they treat everyone.
My advice, don't trust the folks at Gary Gruner Chevrolet GMC Buick. Take your business elsewhere.
