Everyone that I had an interaction with was 100% professional. Honestly, I've never had a better experience while buying a vehicle. The vehicle that I purchased had a couple of minor issues that needed to be addressed. The folks at CarMax took care of everything. They even ordered a lug nut key for me that was missing from the Honda. I'm admittedly a picky buyer, and the crew at CarMax West El Paso went above and beyond. Completely a pleasant experience.

I can't say enough good things about Reginald "Reggie" Collins—his number one priority was making sure we had an enjoyable experience at Onion Creek Volkswagen. He listened to our needs and made some very knowledgable suggestions that ended up getting us into the PERFECT vehicle that wouldn't have us making any compromises. We absolutely love our new VW! So this is a mixed review I had originally dealt with the El Paso, Carmax and it was not a great experience. Had a very aggressive salesman who transferred me to someone else and then I was able to speak to somebody on the 800 line who was absolutely wonderful and so helpful and so informative. leann Maldonado. Wow, what a breath of fresh air she was! ! After that, it was smooth sailing had a really terrific experience with Carmax at that point really understood the process after her explanation and her handling of it and then it was able to be shipped to a closer location for me to Lubbock for $285 and then the dealership in Lubbock super friendly guys very knowledgeable Very friendly easy to work with so overall it was a really good experience. I think the initials contact could've been better but overall a really positive experience thank you Carmax this is my first used car with you guys and I really appreciate all the extra benefits that you guys provide as far as warranties delivery services, etc. thank you again

The first person I met at the dealership was the sales manager, Eric who greeted me with a friendly smile. The next person was salesman Paul who despite his young age is truly a customer service professional. I really had no intention of buying a vehicle or trading in my lovable, but flawed old Buick, but Paul eased this senior through the process and helped me all along the way. We hit a bump in the road when the AC wasn’t working on test drive, but I wanted to hear the engine, feel the transmission shift and see how the car handled. As we were working on the numbers, the shop got the AC working. We got the papers signed, car cleaned out and a selfie with new car, then…AC went out again on way out of dealership. I called Eric and he said, “Bring it back, we’ll make it right”. I brought the car back the next morning without an appointment and they got me in and out within an hour. The problem was a faulty AC motor. They replaced it without charge and actually apologized for not catching it earlier. The dealership itself is amazing and is the largest and fastest growing VW dealership in the country. I would highly recommend this 5 star dealership.

I appreciate David taking my call on a Saturday, and giving me an appointment the following Wednesday. My car had an issue that warranted getting to the dealership as soon as possible. I will drive 100 miles round trip & out of the way to get great and dependable service from someone that took my call and was willing to help me. What a joke this place is! My husband and I visited after seeing a lightly used SUV listed online. Once we saw it in person, we quickly realized it wouldn’t suit our needs, so we browsed the lot and found another vehicle that caught our interest. That’s when things went downhill. When we started negotiating, they came back with completely outrageous numbers — I’m talking about monthly payments nearly $300 more than what we ultimately got at another dealership. Their online pricing is incredibly misleading and feels like a bait-and-switch tactic. After wasting hours dealing with nonsense and dishonesty, we walked away. Thankfully, we found an amazing deal on a better car in San Marcos. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone.

We are changing only because ok Kathy and at the end of the day my husband has to keep the car the process seemed rushed we should have ask questions we failed terribly not asking questions. BEWARE SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!! - sesakw

BEWARE SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!! So, my military son hit a pot hole and punctured his tire on the edge where it was irreparable. Took it to Hoy service, he had a tire and wheel policy to cover repairs. Josh in service advised him that the warranty company, Fidelity Warranty, denied the claim because the customer drove on the tire flat and abused the tire. After talking to my son, he did not know who the warranty company was or why it was declined. He called the dealership where he purchased the car and found out it was US warranty not Fidelity. The Adviser had flat out lied! I even talked to the adviser and he told me the same thing! The claim was denied due to customer abuse. Well if there is no contract with Fidelity the conversation would be "whats the VIN number, you have no contract" end of discussion. How do I know? I am a veteran adviser. I deal with these companies every day! So I asked for the service manager and got Willie who said he was the assistant to the service manager. (according to the web site he is the service manager) More Lies! I informed him who the warranty company was and he said he was not set up to deal with them. (Half truth!) The warranty company said they could take the claim over the phone and pay it in minutes. During this time the tech came into the office and exclaimed "are these idiots still arguing over the warranty?" Not realizing he was standing next to my son! So after 3 hours from the time my son arrived, the claim was paid and the car released and my son left. Never to return. This should have been an easy warranty claim. I have no idea whats going on. I only know they tried to charge my son $226 for a repair covered by tire warranty.!

I was told that I was approved then that they neede a coapplicant I submitted my additional information then that I needed to call the credit bureau to remove an alert and I did. The alert was removed and then they told me the additional information was not good enough. Then they requested my moms information in which I submitted. The sales rep then called me , but he didn't know. He said only nonsense and going in circles and no one knows anything. Bad customer service very unprofessional.

I have purchased several cars from Sterling and have been very happy. Sterling the owner is a character, but a genuinely nice guy that wants the buy to be happy. And the service does not stop with the sale, the service department is great also. They are very considerate and professional, and will level with you. I've never had any major problems with my VWs, but have seen them go to bat with the company to make it right for the person. I can whole heatedly recommend this dealership for sales and service.
