Our Car Buying Experience-- update by CS - CS
I am updating my review that was first posted on April 25, 2016 regarding Mr. Waleed Mahmood and the dealer Honda College Park in Maryland. Because I have been away from home where assess to the Internet was limited, I was not able to update my review with our recent experience earlier.
Since we got the CRV in late March, other than the license tag issue, the subsequent services my daughter received from Mr. Mahmood and the dealer have been wonderful and excellent. In addition to the one-on-one orientation of the new car offered by Mr. Mahmood after the purchase, he also assisted my daughter getting one of the new tires fixed.
About 2 weeks ago, she discovered one of the new tires was totally flat after parking outside the house overnight. She took the tire to a local mechanic for repair thinking that the problem was caused by a nail. However, no nail was found on the tire. Instead, there were air bubbles coming out from the inside wall. Because I was abroad, so my daughter called Mr. Mahmood for help. Although this “after sales” problem may not be a sales person’s responsibility, Mr. Mahmood answered my daughter’s request and worked with his Service Center to have the tire problem taken care of. Since then, my daughter has been driving the new car without any other issues.
Because of the great performance of the car (I have not driven it though) and excellent after-sales services my daughter has received from Mr. Waleed and the dealer lately, especially when I was away, I am resubmitting my rating to reflect our recent experience. For this, we greatly appreciate the assistance Mr. Mahmood and his colleagues have provided us. We think we have made the right purchase decision and chosen the right dealer.

Kean Thompson and I met in April and I explained that my husband and I were looking for another car for our youngest son. The warning lights/ servicing lights come on prematurely.
The oil and filter changes are expensive.
My son paid the car off early but he has not received the money owed him yet for paying it off earlly.
Car is not even 3 years old and the warranty has run out??? That is a cheap policy.

No Concern for Customer Safety - Andrew
I brought my vehicle here to be serviced as I did not know of a good mechanic in the area, I thought a Honda dealer would be best for my Civic. Unfortunately, I can not recommend any one use this service department.
My main concerns were the SRS and Maintenance Required lights being on, as well as, the whining sound around 50 MPH and brakes. After consulting Mike Owens, he made several recommendations (17 in total) and informed me my belts and a valve adjustment were the most "important" repairs ($882.00). He also recommended a coolant flush, despite the fact that I had one recently and tires for minor cupping in the rear ($683.75). All of my concerns were this important in comparison: 3.) Brakes, 5.) Maint. Req. 11.) SRS and 15.) Whining. The rest of the recommendations were for preventative maintenance and I take care of those at a nearby shop. I asked for the belts, valve adjust, brakes, maintenance (catalytic converter head shields) and SRS (faulty driver seat belt). I originally asked for the alternator, but quickly declined as I did not want to spend too much.
A couple of hours later, I received an email from Mike saying the "alternator bolt was seized and had to be removed" and thus replaced. He then offered to do it, but would waive the labor fees and I would only have to cover the cost of the part ($386.79). I requested the part name and number, did a quick search and found the part on sale for $244.74 on Honda's own parts' website. The price he quoted me was full MSRP, so I insisted he do it for the sale price and he made it possible.
In the email of recommendations, Mike noted which parts were not available and would have to be done another day (5). However, after picking up my car, I noticed the SRS light was still on, it was running very rough and my radio was locked out. My biggest concern here, Mike Owens neglected to inform me that the faulty driver seat belt would not be replaced that day. I had to drive in the pouring rain with a sputtering car and faulty seat belt. If I had been informed the seat belt would not be fixed, I would have left the car there for my safety.
As I work six to seven days a week, a relative called Honda of Annapolis, explained the situation and they asked him to bring the car back. It broke down on the way. The engine and power shut off on the highway, he had to be towed back to the service department.
David Tennant made sure to take care of the situation as best he could. He offered a free rental, would change the oil and do the coolant flush while also repairing the break-down and catalytic issues. I finally got my car back a few days later.
It's only been about a week and the brand new $607.00 belts have been squealing. They squeal when I start, they squeal when I reverse, when I accelerate, when I turn -just about any maneuver under 50 MPH. I think screeching may actually be the better word here. Not only that, but for some odd reason, they disconnected my horn. Not inside the engine, but at the steering wheel. No clue why they would feel it necessary to do that. And, if it just was a mistake or something forgotten, they obviously need to have a checklist that says: "Does the radio work? Is the horn still connected?"
All in all, I am truly amazed at the total lack of concern for customer safety this Honda service department displays. Do yourself a favor and take your car somewhere else. It is not worth the $2k headache.

I agree with other reviews. Please choose another dealer because Honda is good just not this company. HORRIBLE!!! The DriverPlus that they sell you and TELL you it is good even if you move is a LIE. NEVER again would I buy from this company even if it was the only one near me.

I had been looking for a reasonably price car for the last three months mostly through the internet. I went into David Wheeler to make an appointment for my wife's Honda Odyessy. While there I bumped into Greg Phillips a salesman I had known for a while. He asked if I was still looking for a vehicle? I was. I told him what I had been looking for was a hardtop/covertible. He advised they had just gotten one in and I should take a look. The vehicle was what I wanted. We test drove the vehicle and went back to the dealership. I advised at the time my wife had to see the vehicle before I would make a committment and we set up a time to come back. In the meantime he had taken my information for the paperwork. I located my wife sooner than the appt. and called Greg to advise we would be right back. He put a tag on the car again so my wife could take a ride. We came back did the paperwork, worked out a couple minor problems and agreed to pick up the vehicle in two hours. When we return Greg had had the car detailed, gassed and ready to go. John Ireland had all the paperwork ready and we were done in about thirty minutes. Both these gentlemen were as helpful and courteous as any could be. I would highly reccomend them to anyone in the area who was about to purchase a vehicle. The next day I had my wife's car serviced and the service in that dept. was also excellent.
