BMW - LIbby - csnell
We've purchased two cars from Libby at BMW of Fort Wayne and each experience was 5 stars from start to finish. Libby is wonderful to work with- she's incredibly informative and knowledgeable about the cars she selling and she makes sure that the car buying experience is stress free and enjoyable. The positive experiences we've had at this dealership will continue to earn our business in the future and we would recommend them to all of our friends.
Really good customer service with great prices - Mysteriousnomad
BUY FROM HERE: I don't write many reviews, but feel as though I need to do so for this facility. I bought a used car and was treated as a customer. Ronald was my salesman and Dan was the business manager. They were both excellent, very friendly, informative, and non-pushy. There is honestly nothing negative I can say. They didn't go back on their word when prices were discussed and it was time to sign documents. Ronald answered his personal phone to answer questions I had before purchasing on his day off.
Also, when I bought the car I had to come back the next day. There are some dealerships where once you make a purchase from them they will do a 180, ignore promises, not answer calls, etc. (you can read all about them) but this WAS NOT the case.. do yourself a favor and do business with an honest dealer who actually does what they say, and has aggressive prices with customers driving multiple states over just to get them..don't waste time!
Best of the best - beemerbiker
Over the last 30 years, I have owned several BMW vehicles. Cars and motorcycles. Driving or riding, short or long trip, it was (and still is) always a pleasure. Perfect balance between luxury, comfort and sport. Always ahead of the crowd with innovations, BMW indicates new directions in technology and design. Did I mentioned best driving experience ever? Oh yeah.
And there is Basney BMW and people behind the dealership, always ready to help in any way they can. They offering high quality cars, and they match that with great customer attention and service. It is my fourth vehicle I recently bought from Basney BMW and if I will be in the car market again, guess where I will go, Basney BMW, of course.
Excellent service - Courtneysierra8
This dealership is my favorite! Everyone is so nice, they are great at what they do. They are very thorough when they work on my three minis and I really appreciate it! I totally recommend this dealership!
Loaner car fiasco - likinhikin
Took BMW in for warranty work. Was told I would have a BMW loaner when I made appointment 10 days earlier. I arrive on time, and am told no BMW loaners are available but Enterprise Rental will be coming in about 20 minutes. Over 2 hours later, Enterprise car is available for me but it's an ECONOBOX - a Mitsubishi Mirage - the cheapest car out there with an MSRP of $13K!!
I am giving them a BMW, I expect something similar in return. I tell the service advisor that this is unacceptable. He replies this is all they've got. I say no way I'm accepting an econobox car that I barely fit in. You need to do something else. He goes to talk with manager and BAM! 3 BMW X5's roll out and are now available for loaners, within 5 minutes. That means they had these available the WHOLE time, and whoever left in the Nissan Versa and other crappy cars got the shaft.
Bad taste in my mouth for the first visit.
Good points: Communication was pretty good. They didn't do any work that cost me money unless authorized. Explained and answered all my questions.
Will I go back? It's the only game in town for me unless I want to drive an extra hour away. UGH.
Always thinking and taking care of the customer - DONALDTAYLOR7815@comcast.net
Always thinking and taking care of the customer. Always meeting my expectations and taking care of problems right the first time and suggesting things that will be needing attention soon is always good to keep my car on the road
Run away from them - Heath
The short version, D-Patrick Motoplex is a corporate self serving monopoly who will lie and cheat customers when it xxxx well wants to. Their policies are shady and their service department is even shadier. I would no longer trust them to change a lightbulb in my car.
I’ve had some nice conversations with some of the sales people at D-Patrick Motoplex. Their service department performed recall work adequately and they even washed my car once after such work. Nice touch I won’t lie. That’s where the “good” ends.
A year ago I had a water pump go out in my Audi A3. I knew it was the water pump as this was the second one that had gone bad in only 2 years. I thought, well I’ll probably be buying a new car from these guys some day so I should give them a shot at fixing the water pump. They did the work. I overpaid, as anyone does with the dealer, but at least I had the peace of mind that they would warranty their work.
Unfortunately, that’s not what happened. Less than a year after they replaced the pump it went bad again. Now I’m on the third one. I brought my car in so they could honor the warranty. Did they? Heck no they didn’t. They did charge me a diagnostic fee to essentially tell me that oil had somehow managed to damage the pump and therefore it wasn’t covered. After arguing against that point and even having them “show” me how they made that assumption, I was livid. It was so much BS. They threw an estimate at me for over $3000.00 to fix oil leaks and the water pump (oil leaks that didn’t exist) and basically stated that all the work had to be performed or they wouldn’t honor a warranty any of it work which is laughable since they are essentially liars who don’t honor anything but themselves.
Fast forward 2 months and I finally buy a water pump and find a local mechanic to install it. He informs me the pump was cracked and over time the seal deformed itself creating a giant chasm in which the coolant was pouring out. The oil leaks they claimed caused the pump to fail was a $20.00 fill cap. They wanted over 2 grand to “fix” it.
I decided to bring the broken pump in and see if at the very least they could refund me the diagnostic fee. No bueno. Not even. Just absolute bs spewing from the service manager, who is really just a whipping boy in their corporate structure. He did talk to a different manager who didn’t even have the courtesy to talk to me. He sent the poor whipping boy out to deliver the verdict. What a bunch of hierarchal crap.
My verdict. Do not trust these shady lying petty incompetent greedy men. If you need a recall done and you’re not paying them, yea take your car there. For anything else, I wouldn’t trust a single thing any of those crooks tell you.
I will never ever ever buy another Audi from anyone because of this experience. They’ve ruined the brand for me. I won’t set foot in that D-Patrick ever again that’s certain. They have forever lost my trust and my respect.
Not much else to say except thieves and liars and greedy corporate policies exist at that dealership.
Horrible treatment - SMW1
Oil change, they cut a gasket. Oil leaked everywhere. When fixing their first mistake, they somehow cracked my windshield. Before I left, I made them aware and they would let me know what to do. Three days and several messages later, they told me they had no intention of making it right. Their initial walk around form that was completed by the service coordinator does not mention a huge crack running the entire height of the windshield. But it’s there now and they were told about it prior to my pulling out of their garage. Last car I buy from them. This makes my fourth car purchased from them but my last.
