I am genuinely surprised by the number of positive reviews this store has. We drove two hours to look at a car, but the experience was a complete waste of time and respect.
Indifference and Lack of Product Knowledge
Upon arrival on a Friday afternoon, no one greeted us. The office atmosphere was one of indifference, not service. Our assigned salesperson didn't take us seriously, even after we mentioned our two-hour drive. He barely introduced the car and was completely unable to answer our basic questions, essentially admitting he knew nothing about the vehicle he was trying to sell.
Unprofessional Profiling and Condescension
The discussion became highly uncomfortable when he started asking for my exact age and what we do for work. He was clearly profiling us and only became slightly more engaged once I gave him the specific age, as if he then finally considered we might have the money for a Jeep. Why does my age matter when I am a serious buyer?
Insulting Trade-in Offer and Security Breach
• The Trade-in: The offer for our Jeep trade-in was significantly lower than every other dealership we visited. When we stated this, he condescendingly offered "$500 more if you are willing to clean up all the dog hairs." This was a highly unprofessional and insulting way to negotiate.
• The Security Lapse: When we decided to leave, he failed to return our vehicle registration. We drove two hours home realizing a personal document was left in their hands, a major lapse in professionalism and security. Thankfully, the next dealership didn't need the physical registration to give us a fair trade value.
I wasted four hours driving and lost a critical document. Based on this experience, I have zero respect for the sales team's professionalism and judgement.
