Gaffney GMC sold me my second Canyon in February 2021. It has been serviced exclusively by their service department since new. At 105,000 miles, they flushed the cooling system, tuned the engine, changed the transmission fluid and filter, serviced the differential and changed the lock switch. The truck is good for another 105,000 miles. Was it expensive? Yes!! Was it worth the money? Yes, which is especially true when you consider it costs $500 in sales tax, $400 in dealer fees and some $50 for paperwork to buy a new truck. In addition to these costs, consider higher property taxes, higher insurance premiums and higher depreciation for the first three or so years. I just had it detailed and it looks great.

The service department is second to none. I had a major issue come up with my vehicle just outside of warranty. Johnson Motor Company was able to repair my truck the same day I brought it in even though the part required was on national back order. The best part, they were able to convince GM to cover the repair even though my vehicle was 7,000 miles outside of my preowned warranty. Very impressed!

I can recommend this dealership for service only, they do a satisfactory job; not exactly the best, and sometimes take too long to get the job done. If you have a good relationship with them, you can get away with most aftermarket modifications on the vehicle without any problems of refused warranty work. Sales on the other hand, they are too uptight on the pricing and the salespersons do not do a good job to make you feel important enough to call you once a vehicle is available, etc. I ended up buying my car from a dealership about an hour away because I could actually haggle a price on it.
