We drove almost 2 hours to look at a specific pre-owned vehicle at Crown Acura Richmond that we had researched significantly and we're not disappointed. Jarratt was there to meet us first thing in the morning and gave us space to go over the vehicle at our leisure. He then drove it to demonstrate the safety features and then we drove it to make sure it met our requirements. The entire experience was knowledge-based and low pressure. The price was the best in the area and we ended up buying the vehicle. They got us out of there quickly and didn't push any ads ons. Very positive experience from Crown Acura Richmond and we highly recommend them.

At first, husband and I left this dealership feeling excited and happy with our new lease. The process had taken hours, we stayed there even with our infant daughter but we were reassured multiple times that everything was being taken care of including the payoff of our trade-in — and that we wouldn’t be in any negative equity. That promise is what made us comfortable moving forward with the deal. However, about a week later, the finance manager unexpectedly reached out and informed us that they had overpaid the payoff amount and that we now owed the difference due to dealership policy. We were blindsided. We had been told clearly during the long signing process that our current car would be paid off in full and that nothing would carry over a point that was critical in our decision to move forward with the lease at all. The root of the problem? We had originally planned to trade in two vehicles, and the dealership worked up the numbers based on that. But before finalizing anything, we decided to only trade in one car, which we clearly communicated. Despite that, the wrong vehicle’s payoff amount was used on the final paperwork. The car we actually traded in was listed, but the payoff was for the car we didn’t give them which was a serious internal error on their part. What’s worse is how the dealership handled it. When my husband called to discuss the situation, the general manager doubled down, placed the blame entirely on us, and said it was our fault for signing. He claimed we confused them —rather than owning the fact that their team failed to update the paperwork even after we told them about the change. There was zero accountability despite the fact that this was clearly their administrative oversight. This isn’t just about a financial mistake, it’s about the complete lack of professionalism and customer care. We trusted their process and their word. But once the deal was done and they realized their mistake, they pushed the consequences onto us rather than fixing it or even admitting fault. If you choose to work with this dealership, please double- and triple-check all paperwork. Don’t take verbal confirmations at face value, and don’t assume they’ll correct things after a change has been communicated. What should’ve been a smooth, exciting experience ended up being a stressful and frustrating one that we’re still dealing with.

I purchased a Certified Used 2016 Ram 1500 pickup from Marlow Motor Company on March 16, 2024. The vehicle was purchased at 80,000 miles. Since that time I have had two service appointments at Marlow Motors with oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections. I have had the battery replaced, replaced the serpentine belt, replaced the CPCH and valve-purge control, and spent $970.50 in parts and labor along the way. Then, on March 3, 2025, after just over 10,000 driving miles in the first year, I was due for inspection. I confidently returned to Marlowe for the inspection thinking that since the purchase of a Certified Used Vehicle, regularity of service and inspections, and just over 10,000 miles of usage in the first year, I would pay my $20 for a successful inspection and be on my way. Some time later while in the waiting room, I received a text telling me that my vehicle had failed inspection and that there were 5 items that "required immediate attention" to the tune of $1683.58. Fourth on the list of these items was "Replace Rear Brake Pads and Resurface Rotos." A service representative soon joined me in the waiting room to further explain that it was the brakes that had failed inspection. The first three items on the "requires immediate attention" list included brake fluid exchange service and four-wheel alignment, and differential service. The fifth item was "replacing cabin air filter" which I was pretty sure did not "require immediate attention" in relation to a state inspection. I asked the service representative what it meant to purchase a Certified Used Vehicle and he mumbled that everything is in working order and safe. When I queried how the brakes of a Certified Used Vehicle could be deemed unsafe with only 10,000 miles of usage, I was told that the inspector did not look at my purchase and service history. I told him that I had lost trust and confidence in Marlowe Motors as my service shop and how disappointed I was in that I was planning to continue my service with them for the vehicle, but now simply wanted my vehicle returned. They had lost me as a customer. For the cost of $22.87 and a failed inspection sticker in my windshield, I went to another local state inspector, paid my $20 and passed inspection. Lesson learned.

This is more a review of our sales person, Steve Lerner, than BMW Richmond, but it's worth mentioning we purchased our 2024 Toyota RAV4 from here at a lower price point (and with better miles) than offered at the used Toyota dealership. It's also worth mentioning BMW sent us home with the RAV4 overnight as a test drive. I enjoyed buying from Steve, not because of his salesmanship, but because he really tries to help. Steve addressed all the concerns we had with the car, having the tires rotated and realigned before the sale. After the sale I noticed a slight pull to the right and Steve stayed late, attending a test drive with me, and filling the tires with air (after noticing the different air pressures and assessing that might be source of the pull). Steve isn't pushy, but he will work hard to make the deal work; ultimately for the benefit of everyone. To me that's a fair and honest exchange and I couldn't ask for more from a car seller. Thank you for your help Steve, I hope this review speaks to your character and integrity, both of which you hold in spades.

I dropped a 3 year old vehicle off that I purchased brand new, to the dealership to have an oil change, a state inspection, and a recall on the fuel pump performed. When I dropped the vehicle off the dealership noted no leaks on their report, The state inspector notated zero leaks in his report. The 22 point inspection they perform noted no leaks on his report. When I returned home I noticed fuel leaking from the truck. I notified the dealership, and they are refusing to acknowledge that the truck was damaged during the recall work and handed me a $13,000 bill. This is the kind of service a person who has purchased 4 vehicles from Hall can expect, this is what they are proud of. On multiple attempts none of their managers will return calls
