Crowley Ford, as an independent dealership, can establish any markup on the Genuine Fords Parts they sell. The markup is outrageous.
For example: I purchased a plastic retaining clip / bushing for my F350 which holds the clutch push rod onto the clutch pedal arm. When the clip breaks, you cannot shift, start the engine, and the clutch pedal falls to the floor. The plastic part is approximately the size and shape of a sewing thimble. Cost of part purchased at Crowley's parts counter: $11.00. Price for the same part at Monaco Ford in Glastonbury: $6.00 with discount available at counter.
It seems Crowley needs to mark up the parts in order to pay for the new building despite, Can you imagine the markup on substantial parts like starters, alternators, etc????
